............has to be Stephan Ireland. I hope no manager ever ever even considers this p****a again.
His passport should be revoked!!!
Obviously i`m not totally serious there, but you get my meaning. I know people in his home town are deeply embarrassed by it all.

Refused Trap to go on panel.
I know its been over talked about enough times on this site, but jesus what is his problem. I know that a good few people have helped him out and had apparently smoothed everything over in preperation for whatever meetings we needed. Then he says he wants to go on holiday instead of play/train with Ireland.

If he has refused to go join the Irish Panel , then that should be the end of it, he should never be asked again , just play the players who want to be there.

I think people should leave him be. A bit of child psychology might work, when nobody asks him to play with the team or writes about it in the paper he might want to come and play when he is getting no attention. The chap clearly lives in his own little world. He has a multi million pound contract with Man City and a good level of football ability but he will never anount to anything until he cops himself on. He won`t be missed as with Robbie, Keane, McGeady, Andy Reid and Duff (not finished yet ) we have 4 talented small players who are worth their place in the team. If we put a fifth one in the team we would have a very light weight team. It is a pity but it will not be a huge loss.

Where did u hear he wont be rejoining the panel?
Sure leave him be. If he doesnt want to play, then thats his decision which should be respected.

If he doesn`t want to play now then that`s up to him. If he wants to join the squad again in a few months or years then that`s fine by me. 4 goals in 6 games as a 20-year old, just wish he had stayed i the squad.
BUt there`s alot I odn`t know about the background. I know he had a run-in with Brian Kerr a few years ago at under-age and has a strange taste in car wheels for his range rover but he`s a good footballer and we will need him. I had thought Richard Dunne would have been able to talk him into coming back but like I said there`s a lot of background I don`t know.

I have seen journalists implying that he is not really the full shilling. He has talked about giving up the game that will make him wealthy, he does not seem very grounded at all.

Oh My God! I completely agree, he is a total knobhead. I hear from `those that know him` that his attitude to his country is pathetic. He is why so many professionals are despised. And worst of all - look at what he drives.

Hes a young boy and he sounds like he be a bit dim, but he is a quality footballer. Has alot of things in his game that most Irish midfielders don`t. He has to be on the field when this Irish team attempt to qualify for the next world cup.
But even if he doesnt play for his country again, he will amount to plenty in the premiership, he could be very, very good at the top level.

I didn`t know he was from Cork. I got it into my head that he was from Wexford. Must be that tasteless motor that made me think that.

Let`s put it this way. If you were in a group of players who constantly took the p**i out of you and thought you were mental, even though you were a far more talented individual, would you remain on that panel? I know from people that have been in their company that Andy Reid and Robbie Keane are two of the biggest d**eheads that you could meet off the field of play. Arrogant p****as who prey on the vulnerabilities of somebody like Stephen Ireland. I think Ireland`s right. He doesn`t need that crap.
