Can anybody figure the obsession some people have with needing to park directly outside somewhere they are going, be it a shop or whatever. People will abandon their cars at any kind of angle, coz when they see the shop, they drive towards it & it`s seems that only when they get to it, do they realise they need to park. It`s either that or it`s that people are gone so damn lazy that they couldn`t possibly dream about walking any distance beyond 10 yards. Tisn`t a big job to park a little bit away & have a stroll up to the shop. But no, people will drive right up, usually  (& this is what i can`t believe )  in to a space for disable drivers, & drop  it there, no obvious disability, no big rush, they just can`t comprehend that they are lucky they don`t actually need that space for the reason it is marked. Is it just stupidity? Ignorance?
Another one is parking outside the door of a gym on a double yellow or disable, & then go in to they gym to WALK on a treadmill!!!

I used work in an office building with about 2,000 employees and a correspondingly big gym. There were organised gym sessions at different times and the people leaving the gym would line up for the lift to the lobby  (2 flights of stairs )  opposite the stair door. They would actually wait for the lift to return to pick them up and none of them would think to walk up. Habit, I suppose.

Have you seen a school at 3pm. Same people wouldn`t dream of parking up or down the road but double park right outside the gate and not in the slightest bit guilty about causing tailbacks and traffic jams.

On my street I see some crazy parking. Cars left about three feet from the kerb and this is on a narrow street with cars parked on both sides. Makes it a really tight fit sometimes when cars are trying to get through. Chaos altogether if a van or a truck comes down the street.

People just dump their car and couldn`t give a cobblers if it`s causing a blockage.

Personally I think it is pig ignorance. The same people will never indicate at roundabouts or when turning off the road. What makes me despise them so much is that they will park on the kerb and fcuk all the other children so that little johnny has not got far to walk. Then strap him in the latest high-tec safety seat whilst giving him an organic yogurt and filtered juice. They then seal up the windows, draughts you know, and spark up a tab!
