The GAA`s championship 2008 will be a key landmark in the history of the association. The new multi sponsor format for the summer gaelic football and hurling is about to kick off and a new web only tv show aimed at the youtube and bebo generation has gone live.

Published on Fridays for the rest of the summer, Gameball is presented by Limercks 2007 All Ireland winning senior camogie capain Aoife Sheehan.

The first show features Paraic Duffy, Christy Cooney and Dessie
Farrell as well as Kerry`s Paul Galvin and Kilkenny`s James Cha
Fitzpatrick.

Jesus there was nearly legal action the last time the Limerick camogie players were mentioned on here. One fella in particular nearly went off the cliff over it. Can`t remember his name but he was looking for phone numbers and the whole shebang. Mentaler.

I might if they pay me a few quid. After all, they`re not doing it just for the good of their health.

Overall, it`s a good package. Camera work could be improved and the sound levels hop all over the place. But, sure, maybe that`s what goes on Youtube these days?

Aoife is a great presenter. Knows her GAA, looks good and has a lovely husky voice.

I think there was hassle because the performance of a particular Limerick camogie player in some game or other was subject to criticism either here or on the old clarehurlers site.

The said player took offence and I think that another player in the squad was allegedly responsible for the posts. Cant remember the full details.

Limerick won the Senior B after a replay with Cork. Both
programmes are in my meagre collection as as both from
Limerick`s only appearance in a full All-Ireland final, a losing
one in 1980 against Cork as well.

The show looks good and Aoife looks like a natural for the telly. Would be a good replacement for breaking ball on telly. Maybe TV3 will take her on..

THE TRUCKERS LOVE ME!
I can just imagine the truckers driving through a small village backed up with traffic leaning out the window, throwin d`aul wink, and honkin d`aul horn at her...

Pretty good, picture quality is a lot better than RTEs Real Player stuff. A few captions wouldn`t go amiss though, in fairness them Leitrim lads at Shannon airport are hardly household names  (yet ) .

Is Aoife Sheehan not camogie girl? or someone like that who used to come on here wumming a few years back. The person implied that they might be Aoife Sheehan but they were on the limerick camogie panel.

If it is aimed at the bebo/youtube/youth market they could avoid including clips of GAA conferences and politicians.
