Never really heard tell of it as a tourist destination. Moscow I`d imagine has more to offer if your heading that side of the world.

Don`t think I have ever seen a more negative team in European competition before. It was football`s shame they made it to the final. At least now the whole of Europe and the world will link a second word to this team - BORING!! (as well as BIGOTS!! ) . I have a feeling now they will drop at least two points in their next three games to give Celtic the title.

Oh I see, this was the Russian crowd that were in the UEFA Cup final tonight. I take it they prevailed over the British representatives?

Moscow has nothing outside the Red Square - very disappointing city. St Petersburg is absolutely beautiful, one of the prettiest cities in the world. Incredible place. And i`m not a man who knows much about architecture.
Having said that St Petersburg has no nightlife whatsoever. Craic mighty in Moscow, so there you go.

Did you see your woman that the camera closed in on while their were bouncing up and down - my god !!! In fact everything was bouncing up and down.
Justice was finally done. They did well to get this far but they were playing for penos from the start and got their just deserts. Zenit had some decent players - i`d say a few of them will move on to richer clubs.

BRTAIN"S SHAME
Rangers fans clash with police
Police clashed with Rangers supporters in Manchester city centre after thousands of fans were left angry when a big screen showing the Uefa Cup final failed to work.
Officers in riot gear charged fans in the Piccadilly Garden fan zone after being pelted with bottles and cans.
Riot officers hit several of the fans with their batons, and then backed off.
Police charged fans twice more, pushing them back. After one clash a fan laid on the floor and appeared to be injured.
Fans taunted police by filming them with their mobile phones, while police fended them off, hitting them with their shields and batons.
A spokesman for Manchester City Council said they did not know what had gone wrong with the screen but they were working as fast as they could to fix it.

And the Rangers supporter with the large tattoos on the massive biceps, and her husband/partner/boyfriend had a fine select ion of tattoos as well.

It will be interesting to see how they react - the thing is though that none of the teams they are playing have anything left to play for. They have a very ordinary away record though so who knows - its going to the last day anyway so at least it will be close which is more than I expected a month ago.
I paid close attention to the choir tonight and the followng got a few airings.

Ther are many bigger clubs but in a way none are richer than Zenit as they are are the plaything of Gazprom which in 10 years time will be the biggest company in the world.

You can`t have seen much European club competition then. I can recall arsenal getting to a CL final on a diet of 0-0 draws and as a fan i sure as hell wasn`t complaining. You do what you have to do to get through.
You and many of the other posters here are coming across a little like spoiled children tbh. It`s a bit rich to point the finger at them for being boring (which they are, but that`s another story ) if it was Celtic in that position ye would be turning handstands and not giving a fcuk about the quality of the football.
I haven`t seen Cloch and co. pushing the envelope earlier today, the disappointment of his non appearance (so there`s nobody to argue against ) says it all really.
What did ye expect them to do? Open the game up? They would have been slaughtered in the group stages had they done so. To much hilarity no doubt. They played to their strengths and it got them this far. Defending is a skill in its own right.
If they are really such a boring, negative, unattractive side to watch then why watch it at all?? Have ye nothing better to do?Everyone knew exactly what Rangers were going to produce tonight. 13/10 for `no Rangers goal` was an attractive enough price to keep the wolf from the door for a bit anyway. Thank you PP :- )
As for your `feeling`......it`s not impossible that Celtic could drop points too, you know...it`s not like it hasn`t happened near the end of a season before, just ask Scott McDonald?

agree with a lot of the above. great achievement by walter smith to get that stage cos tho considering what he has available to him. darcheville is an absolute donkey and barry ferguson showed again how average he actually is. he is about the same level as lee carsley and has an allergic reaction to the ball at his feet. roy hogson let steve davis go on loan when they were fighting relegation but he was prob der best player tonite. rangers havent a single player that would make a top 6 team in the prem and smith deserves a lot of credit for bringing this team so far.

Cloch and Co have been banned. Any chance of lifting the ban for 48 hours or so I wonder? Would be great if he crawled out of a gutter to take his medicine.

Unfortunately the club also have a hard core of racists among their supporters. Zenit are the only club in Russia never to have signed a black player, and their fans were accused of racist taunts during the Uefa Cup win over Marseille earlier this season.
Marseille defender Ronald Zubar said: "They threw a banana at us and made monkey sounds."
Manager d**e Advocaat has even admitted that the fans` attitude has affected his transfer policy.
"The problem is our fans," he says. "I would be happy to sign anyone but the fans don`t like black players.
"I don`t understand how they could pay so much attention to skin colour. For me, there`s no difference between white, black or red.
"But the fans are the most important thing Zenit have. That`s why, in future, I have to ask them outright how they`ll react if we sign a dark-skinned player.
"If the fans don`t agree with me, I won`t do it. I won`t buy a player who won`t be accepted by the fans."

huns humped in Manchester
hun fans ( shown up for the scum they are ) battered by riot police
I repeat.....the discerning Celtic Fan should never use the expression "Old Firm" again
Celtic fans never have been, never are and never will be the same
the Teddy Bears disgraced themselves both on and off the pitch...I dont want any link between us and such hunnery
all together now
"Oh the Rangers are 5hite......." ( repeat as nauseam )
PS .... fell asleep last night listening to Radio 5 live....complaint after complaint after complaint...."savages...nausiating.....disgraceful...racist.....rampaging"
slept like a baby :- ) ) ) ) ) )
