Not a great offer really when your guest has to pay the full price. The only benefit is you and your guest/s will be together at the match which is good ok.
They say there is great demand for tickets for this fixture and the Munster GAA have made additional seats available for GAA Season Ticket holders from Tipperary & Clare.

The best they will achieve for this game I would say, is to have the stadium half full.

Yeah just got an e-mail telling me of my "GREAT OFFER". Bring a guest along for E30 and they somehow try to think that that is inticing. Also trying to fool people into thinking that there is great demand for the clare v tipp match is another good one.
Have to say that E30 is a shocking price for a gaa ticket in these recessionary times. The GAA would want to wake up and see how much people are suffering financially through job loss and high mortgages.Keep charging these prices and people will start staying at home in front of the telly and i can`t say i would blame them.E20 would be plenty for a stand ticket to a provincial semi and E15 for a terrace ticket.

Yes, the only thing going for this is that this is a reserved seating situation, so you will be able to have your guest beside you  (once you go in at the same time ) .

The way they have dressed it up though says everything about how out of touch they can be at times.

On the pricing I would strongly agree there. It`s like with the league finals where they drop ped it by a fiver from last year, but it was still like 25 quid. Or the Cork-Kerry replay today with the same scenario, and they make out like they are doing a great thing! 30 quid for the stand for both Leinster semis as well, as stand alone fixtures, is an absolute disgrace. Nearly as bad as that time they charged 35 quid for the Kilkenny Clare replay a few years back.

Dont know about the guest offer but to me the season ticket has been fantastic value.

7 League games + The League Final + The Waterford Championship game all for €75.

A little over €8 a game.

That said I didnt get to the league final.

I agree with your point S.L.R., but I think what people have an issue with is that the offer is a bit misleading and of course for the vast majority of patrons the 30 euro for the stands is excessive when many people are now on very tight budgets.

Just to clarify my earlier post by agreeing that the season ticket is great value and a very good idea for the die hard fan. It`s the pricing for the individual tickets that is the problem.

Some lads will moan about anything. This season ticket offer has been great value for anyone who goes to a decent amount of league games. I`m sure this Sep we`ll hear people moaning that they couldn`t get tickets for the AI final despite the fact they go to all the games. Well this was the chance for them.

As for the price of individual tickets, I don`t think 30e is out of order. What can you get for a 30e these days? Look at prices for entertainment type tickets, concerts, rugby, soccer etc. You wouldn`t get any of these for 30e. All in all I don`t think the prices are too bad. Would more people go if they were a fiver cheaper? I doubt it.

Theres a bit of tweaking needed. Some of the reserved seats were fairly lowish in the stand last Sunday which meant that even though people were protected from the downpour it was still possible for them to get every so slightly wet.

Tickets were given on a first come first served basis, so you had to be there first to get the higher up seats. Perhaps theres a better way of doing this.

The free game was last week. All games will be charged to the credit card from now on regardless of whether you attend or not.

gaa would seriously want to reduce the prices €12 into clare wicklow div 4 bit of a joke if there was 300 people there that was about as much, less the next time. Imagine have to pay 12 into clare and kilkenny next sunday no disrespect to kilkenny but not much of a tie

Got it for myself and my father before Christmas. It was a great investment last year, saved money on games and had the best positioned seats I ever had for an All Ireland.

Was talking lately to a sligo lad who lives near markievicz park in sligo and he said when the sligo hurlers are playing some times the gates are open and they dont collect at the gate at all.
So it looks like they will be charging 15 euro for clare v down in the hurling league coming up.

bit saucy but the season ticket looks good value
when is the last day for purchase of em does anybody know???

In the hurling Clare have 3 home games, @ 15 euro each that is E45.00. I don`t think many will be travelling to Portlaoise, Casement Park, Dr Cullen Pk., and Newbridge so therefore unless you are going to travel to some of these matches not much point in buying Season ticket but on the other hand if you were going to travel to a to a min. of one it would be worth paying the E75 euro as the 1st championship match against Waterford is included in the E75.00. Also I think the qualifyers matches are E5 euro cheaper.

I would assume they expect to be in the All Ireland final, and therefore they are guaranteed prime seats if they get there. Also Tipperary are in Division 1 and a lot of their supporters would be going to most League games.

They will get all group games in the league and the Cork game in the championship for €75. Last year the league final was thrown in as a freebie for season ticket holders.

Interesting, as that must be Clare co board decision to charge €12. For the Carlow/Longford game yesterday in Div 4 also it was €10 in.
Was about 1000 or so at it i`d say, so maybe when they expect more they charge less...i dunno.

I take your point but as you know well there is a lot of die hards in all counties that will go to all matches even in counties that appear to have no hope of winning anything big. I wonder how many season tickets have been made available to each county?

No idea what the story is...but just stating the facts.
It was €12 into the Clare/Wicklow game but only €10 into Carlow/Longford in same div, it seems a bit odd.
I`m sure there is someone somewhere who can explain that!!

I thought I read somewhere last year that there were 250 available per county, but I could be wrong.
