Should that be minor, intermediate and senior?

Fairly sure that U-21 hasnt started yet

anyways a 12 point win for Tipp, tough day ahead for the waterford minors

First half was close enough but Tipp pulled away in the last 20 minutes, John O`Neill scored about 12 points including frees he was dangerous all night, David Butler played very well also.
3 finals will be played within 4 days of each other, minor and senior on 12th July and u21 on Wednesday 15th. Tipp have about 7 u21`s on senior panel so hopefully no injuries.
Tipp have great chances in minor and u21 but senior game is 50-50 I think.

I think you mean John O`Dwyer who was outsatanding and has a serious future in a Tipp senoir jersey. Denis Maher too.

A great year for Tipp, beating Cork in all 3 grades. need to beat Waterford now in all 3 to win 3 Munster titles.

Wasn`t at the match as I`m working abroad at the moment but agree that it`s John "Bubbles" Dwyer not O`Neill who did a lot of the scoring for Tipp. I hope he sticks with it. His brother "Bosco" Dwyer was a great underage player and I don`t think he`s even a cert for Killenaule any more, so I hear from my southern sources, but am open to correction.

Johnathon "Bosco" is not a brother nor a relation of the fella that was hurling last night, think he did the cruciate a couple of years ago and is not hurling for Killenaule at the moment.
Bubbles is a great prospect and is a nephew of Joe O`Dwyer who won a Minor in 76 and 2 U-21`s 79 & 80.

Any chance we`ll be getting that young umpire, who wound up so many Clare fans with his officiating, back for this year`s Final?

the defeats at minor and under 21 were simply because tipp have better quality hurlers at these grades than cork. they are also better organised and were well deserving of both wins. its closer at senior but tipp have moved ahead of cork at this level also. its an indictment of cork hurling that we havent produced one quality intercourty forward since ben o connor and he made his debut in 1998!!!

Think Bosco O`Dwyer did his cruciate twice in successive yrs which pretty much finished his career,Niall Bergin a very promising tipp minor hurler 3 yrs ago from Killenaule also seems to have suffered the same fate.

Thats some thrashing alright, I thought the Cork team which finished in the Park looked stronger that the team which started, however most of them started again so I kinda half expecting it!

Not sure that Cork have the best players out anyway but thats for another nights argument.

This is off topic but no point starting a new thread. Anyone know whats the story with the confusion over which terraces the Tipp and Waterford fans are supposed to be. Ive heard the Waterford fans are in the Killinan end and the Tipp fans are in the town end. Can anyone clear this up?

good one Yojimbo!

No since they are under 18, I suppose their Mams and Dads take care of their welfare, the GPA want to look after the player welfare after that!
