If you had been a German citizen in the 30s and 40s would you have been a member of the Nazi party, a member of the resistance or what?

I would have been an ordinary German apparently which is a tad disappointing from a moral point of view but probably realistic.

Thats impressive Ballybeg. Who did you vote for in last election out of interest?

intothewesht - in fairness every able bodied man ended up a foot soldier thanks to conscription and I`d say strong nationalism is common enough on AFR / in the GAA.

I`d only be worried if I got a Nazi party supporter / member / SS man

But then again it is only half serious and definitlely not "scientific"

I`d have been an everyday German. I`d have missed all my Jewish mates but not enough to have done anything about it.

Would have been an expate. Saw the s**e ws going to hit the fan and gotten out of dodge

Personally I`d like to think that if I had no family then I would have stuck around and tried to help out but easy to say from the comfort of the couch!

Apparently i smelt the s*it aswell and was on the Einstein bus out off town to go make a few nukes and eventually be involved with starting a war with huge crimes against humanity in Israel and my ancestors would later be heavily involved in a massive ponzi scheme and something about big jail time aswell...some test that!!!

Its sort of a shame there`s not a few branches of them around today.
