Looking forward to next year already. The Intermediate Championship seems to be even more competitive next year. Who will do well, or more importantly win it??

Plenty of lads capable of stepping up from that level to intermediate.Despite what some may think ,I beleive that the vast majority of teams at this level are average enough.Bar Eire Og  (if they have the fight for it )  the rest are nearly all on par.

Ennistymon beat the Bridge in the league a few weeks ago and will fancy their chances, but the Bridge have a few experienced Senior hurlers back this year and i think they`ll win that one.

Clooney on the other hand have lost players this year to senior  (always a problem with second teams i suppose )  and Parteen seem to be going good so they should win that. They`ve some really nice hurlers and could have a big say in the final destination.

Ogonnelloe should have too much for the Magpies, who are always competitive at this grade without ever quite making it. They already beat Meelick so a win would get second spot which would be a disaster for Ogonnelloe.

Overall though Townies the team to beat at this grade, and i`m not sure if anyone can beat them, if they play to potential.

Haven`t heard last nights result, but I reckon the table  s so far look something like this:

Parteen Played 2 pts 4
Eire Og Played 1 pts 2
Clooney Quin Played 2 pts 2
Corofin Played 1 pts 0
Feakle Played 2 pts 0

Ruan Played 2 pts 2
Bodyke Played 2 pts 2
SMB Played 1 pts 2
Ennistymon Played 1 pts 2
Wolfe Tones Played 2 pts 0

Clarecastle Played 1 pts 2
Killanena Played 1 pts 2
Meelick Played 1 pts 0
Ogonnelloe Played 1 pts 0

This weekend will tell a lot with the following fixtures down for this weekend:

Ruan v Wolfe Tones
SMB v Ennistymon
Clooney Quin v Parteen
Ogonnelloe v Clarecastle

We`ll know a lot more come Sunday evening.

Group looks like Parteen or Townies as 1&2. CQ will qualify as 3rd because they have beat Feackle so even if they finish level on points, CQ will go through on head to head!

Business end starting to shape up!!

IMHO, SMB/Kilanena/Ruan/Bodyke would all relish a good cut off the Townies so the cup wont be a certainty just yet for them!
