Well it’s the Semi Final of the Walsh Cup I say 90% of you don’t care, but with Ryaner on the team I am glued to every game and I am even driving to Gorey for it. Any one have a team updete , aka any injuries or is the team select ed seen as though its on Saturday?

Ah, was only joking!! Probably goin to head down myself. Goreys a grand spin from Dublin.
Would be a bit worried about the teams prospects this year!!
Was left very deflated by the Limerick loss last year, Limerick were awful and we still couldnt beat them!!!!

Think we should go hammer and thongs for the League as I reckon it could be a short summer with the draw we got.
Kkenny will beat us in the Leinster semi and it all depends on the draw after that!!

I agree with ya on that.

Thats why I was very suprised with how sharp they are this time of year, I know only three games  (dub stars, st dec and NUIG )  but Kilkennys b or c team hammered us by 4 goals last year in the walsh cup.

I hate the way they take so long to name the team footballers are announced already...

Considering who we`re missing that`s not a bad 15. Interesting that O`Meara and May get another chance.

Where are Liam Ryan and Philly Brennan, I know Liam missed most of the SHC but thought we might see Brennan, he had a very good championship, i take it he has a knock?

Couldn`t make the match anybody have the match report when it is finished. I am particularly interested in how John Kelly does.

It wont be a short summer we will beat Kilkenny in the semi finals as long as we beat Laois or Carlow 1st.

Dublin are up by 6 in the second half but are down to 13 men. Kelly and McCaffrey both on second yellows.

Not like Barry Kelly to be sending fellas off but then again Dublin aren`t Kilkenny or Cork!!

Liam Rushe is with UCD, I`m wondering what the story with Liam Ryan`s injury is.

Shane Ryan struck 1-1 according to the reservoir dubs site which is encouraging though the post also mentioned that his touch left him down at times.

Dublin finished with 13 and were short the players that would be considered their better forwards like Rushe, Treacy and O`Callaghan and better backs like Brady and Gough. Taking all that into account an encouraging win for the dubs

Great times for Dublin beating a strong Wexford team without our main players.

Roll on the Final : )

Would anyone argue now that Dublin aren`t the number two team from Leinster, Galway not included here but they`ll probably pass us in time if not already.

I still think they are a nice bit behind Galway, but are def third in Leinster now, of course the Walsh Cup has no bearing on this, but they seem to be the team in the leinster championship that have been on an upward curve over the last couple of years, if their progress continues , there is no reason why they cannot be real contenders for silverware over the next couple of years.

I think considering it was 13 men in the last 20 min with out 13 of there main team.

We are defo number two providing Galway aren`t included but I think we would give Galway a run for there money.

ON ANOTHER NOTE:
DUBLIN -V- TIPPERARY  (SATURDAY )
DUBLIN -V- GALWAY  (SUNDAY )

Also Daly says he is feilding the strongest possible team on Saturday as is Sheedy.

So does that mean we are putting no effort into the Galway game?

Bit of a fixture mess, surely Daly should be playing his best team in the Walsh Final and give the college lads a run against Tipp as they can`t play in the final.

Will there be a double header in Parnell on Sunday?

Presumably Dublin v Galway followed by Portumna v Dunloy?

Prob not but it should be, as it would be a bigger crowd with plenty of Galway supporters and athmosphere for the Walsh Final and then same for AIB semi.
