sounds it, ok
I`m sure I`ve seen grounds that might match it, but just can`t place them somehow
(perhaps Clogheen, or somewhere in the Golden Vale )

Never thought of Brownsgrove being scenic back in my playing days. The furze bushes were nice except if you had to retrieve the ball. Mickey Rooney shaved the post once and someone said `hard luck`. The reply-`when you`re as good as me you don`t depend on luck`.

I recall a similar topic on here in the past, or at least I think it was on this forum, perhaps someone can dig it out. Some beautiful pictures on it too.

I think Glen Rovers pitch in Cork is ‘scenic’ for a city club, can’t think of any particularly striking grounds in my native Limerick city. Did a lot of driving around Donegal with some friends this summer and there were so amazing looking fields up there, not sure who’s they were though.

Ballingarry, looking from the car park past the handball alley up towards the Black Hill with Hanny Greens house half way upis a magical sight. Almost brings a tear to my eye thinking of it. I get a shudder when I think of what is at the other side of the hill though.

Has anyone ever  (outside of Laois people anyway )  been in Shanahoe? Always stuck out for me as a place I`d never forget.

Played for the Stars at U14 then transferred to Cortoon. No fee involved. Probably improved both clubs

Sean traceys pitch, Kilcommon/rearcross. Floodlights are on at all hours, middle of the countryside, the lads puck around before and after pints! field of dreams!

On the way to Páirc na nGael in San Francisco you come off the Bay Bridge and go down the causeway where you have a view of the bay, the city skyline, the Golden Gate Bridge, and Alcatraz all in one fell swoop.

From the field itself you can just about see the top of the skyline if you stand in the right place.

I can imagine those Golden Vale grounds being beautiful: not sure was I at either, but I`m sure I must have been at a ground in or around Clogheen.
Did that Cushendun ground feature in a recent documentary on the BBC?
(there`s some stunning scenery in that part of the country too )
