Starting tommorow, double header in fraher field looks like it could have two very good and close games in Ballyduff Upper v De la salle and Tllow v Mt.Sion.
Passage play ballyduff lower and Dungarvan take on lismore in cappoquin

i predict a mt sion win, just about, a DLS win by about 5, Ballyduff Lower win, just about and lismore by about 7 or so.

- DLS to shade the first one
- Mt Sion to beat Tallow by about 5. Don`t think Tallow are up to much.
- Passage to beat Ballyduff who have 3 of last years team in Australia and Canada and Pat Fitzgerald gone back to Modeligo
- Lismore to beat Dungarvan

Ballyduff Lower must be favourites for the drop , Dungarvan could be a real threat in 3 or 4 years when all these young fellas come on line

A Few Surprises Alright, Didn`t Expect Ballyduff To Be So Bad. Tallow Have Been There Or There Abouts With The Last Couple Of Years And Are As Good As The Best In The County, Which Was Proven There Today...
Also Surprised At Lismore Only Winning By 2, Did They Play Poor Or Did Dungarvan Really Put It Up To Them?

No real surprises today , Tallow are a decent enough team ,and Mt Sion trying to find a blend between very young / very old the last few years . Ballyduff lwr are awful and relegation favourites ( wouldnt see them getting back up for a long time if they do go ) . Ballyduff upr are a good solid outfit , workmanlike and under-rated , even when they won the county a couple of years ago they didnt get the credit they deserve , and they wont be far away again this year .

good game between ballyduff upper and de la salle. ballyduff deserved their win. ref was an absolute joke tho. handed out cards like they were sweets and didnt give a blatant penalty to ballyduff when there man was taken out of it going in clear on goal. ballyduffs second goal was a great one. de la salle will rue their misses, especially in the second half. over all tho, the better team won on the day

John Mullane and a Ballyduff player got booked in injury time and the referee gave a throw ball and he got the players to go into postion and blew the whistle up.
why didnt he just blow the whistle up before booking the 2 players.
Can see Ballyduff Upper being strong this year
I felt tallow were very lucky to win, good goalkeeping prevented them from drawing. Ken and Murrey were having a good go off each other late in the second half lol.

Eoin Kelly tapped in 3-5 from full forward for passage today. i heard Jack Kennedy knocked over 9 points of the 1-9 that ballyduff chalked up.

jack scored about 7 all from frees, kelly i think only scored a goal from play, john o leary had him in his pocket in the first half.

I heard Kelly was walking around in the 1st half barely interested? I suppose thats about the only way O`leary would hold Kelly.

A great win again tonight for the village.
Two great wins now against quality opposition especially without Pa Kearney.

Good game tonight in Cappoquin! Ballyduff are looking strong this year, they`ve played two good games already and their next is against Ballygunner which should tell alot about how things stand.

This was a fantastic match in which Passage were full value for their win. They actually led by 7 points with the 60 minutes played, but Dave Bennett pounced for two late goals. Noel Connors wa absolutely outstanding for Passage as was Eoin Kelly. I have criticised Kelly here before for being lazy but today he was magnificent. I think he scored 1-5 from play and saw off a couple of different markers including Shane Kearney.
Dan started brightly and got 3 points but once Passage changed their full-back he went out of it. Maurice had an indifferent game, scoring quite a lot but he hit quite a few wides as well.
In the second game, Ballygunner beat Fourmilewater by 5 points in a boring enough encounter.
