I think that lad has been there for the last ten years at least. I`ve certainly seen a Carroll Meats shirt in the crowd a few times over the years. What year did the logo change from Carroll meats to Carroll foods as a matter of interest? Always looks gas.
On a related note my young lad (6 ) turned around to me while watching DubsvMeath on Sunday and following a shot of the hill asked, `why is there a fella in the Dublin crowd wearing a man utd jersey?` Why indeed.

Why do people have to go around wearing county jersies when abroad? Are people that insecure?

Just as well an Offaly jersey was seen somewhere, as you wont find much of them at Inter county matches these days.

I think Jack Donaghy is on to something there. Serial jersey wearers either have no fashion sense or want to be part of a group because they are unhappy in their own skin. The only place jerseys of any description should be worn is going to matches, unless its a rare and cool jersey no one else has and you`re showing it off, like Galatasaray or some club/country jersey you can only get abroad and looks cool. But wearing muck jerseys like Offaly to an event like Wimbledon is fcuking hopeless. Cop yourselves on.

Wear your County jersey whereever you want & wear it proud!
& f** the begrudgers!
& it´s far better than walking around wearing the jersey of some British football team.

thats a very good summury. First of all, fashionwise its awful. Go away and buy some ralph, abercrombie or whatever. not a smelly jersey uve had on all day.
Also its horrible to see them strolling around gran canaria or some place in jersies or have tricolours thrown on the balconies of their appartments. Youre away from Ireland for a week FFS. Go discover what the local culture has to offer instead of going around with a stamp on your forehead saying "look at me, im irish".
Were becoming worse than the english when abroad.
rant over
