excuse my ignorance on this but does Brian Murray play outfield for P`well. i take it from this team that he does.

If he does - Is he an intercounty full forward??

Yes he does. His being played Full Forward but has now moved to Half Forward for "The Well" as Barry Foley has fought his way back onto the team and in Full Forward now.
Murray is probaly the best Free Taker in Limerick inside 65 yards. Very accurate. Don`t know if his good enough to play Inter-County but wouldn`t rule it out. Would be worth a shot trying him in the forwards for the National League. His Free Taking ability could be worth alot to Limerick in the long term and his only 24/25 years old.

Yes he has being playing there all season.I`ve seen him a good few times and he is a real handfull up there. And has palyes up there a few years ago too before getting on the Limerick team.Fullback find it hard to handle him.And his free taking is excellent. And there isn`t many full forward in Limerick at the moment and would be worth a chance. Also we have Flynn in goals who is a fine stop stopper.

Brian Murray played wing forward for limerick under 21s against waterford the year after there 3 in a row, he was class as a minor and has great ability.

Had he not gone for goals he would be still in as an outfield player.
Hes emergence as a keeper coincided with the departure of houlihan and when we had john cahill from croom and shanahan from south liberties who were not really up to it!

my team for 2011:
Flynn
Reale
Breen
Paul Browne
Seamus Hickey
B Geary
G o Mahony
Denis Moloney
D o Grady
N Moran
J Ryan
T o Brien
B o Sullivan
B Murray
G Mulcahy

Subs:
B Hennessy
M o Riordan
K o Rourke
S o Neill
S Lucey
N Quaid
P o Brien
D Hanley
R Mccarthy
A Brennan
S Tobin
K Tobin
P Tobin
W Mcnamara
P o Dwyer
S o Donnell
S Madden
D Hannon
D Lynch
L o Dwyer
T Condon
J Riordan
M Fitz.

Have all them training all year and pick 7/8 that don`t make the 30 onto the development squad

VGood team. Breen full back with a bit of coaching is a great option. Murray maybe the only doubt. B O Sullivan full forward with shaughs in corner may be better obption.

Murray would be a doubt but if he got used to playing outfield hes as good as wats in the county.

I dont know shaughs situation but if hes available of course id have him in there.

There are some fine hurlers around, we would be no pushover if we got things together, there is no doubt bout that!

Players like Geary and Lucey have being great servants to Limerick Hurling but maybe we are better of moving on without them. Lucey will probaly stick with the Football with Mark Riordan from now on anyway and are probaly too old now to be playing DUAL. We should maybe build a defence around players like Hickey,GOM,Denis and David Moloney,Richie McCarty,Tom Condon,Stephen Walsh,David Breen,Damian Reale, Shane O Neill,Paul Browne and have a look at the backs that were on the U21 and minor panels like David Lynch,Kevin O Donnell,Thomas Ryan,Paudie O Brien.
There is not much point looking back now. All them players I mentioned above are under 27 except Reale. Maybe Gearys experience could help getting us out of Div 2 but I`d rather be looking for players for the future now.

Shaughz hasn`t really being playing well tho this year. Greame Mulcahy has being there main forward by far this year.

He isn`t at his best but al least his still playing. It would take Back page man to come up with such a sick idea wouldn`t it.

Anyway i would hav e him back on the panel because you just wouldn`t no when he could reach the level he was at in 2007.

Mark and james are better at the hurling i think but i dunno about Lucey seems to be the same at both.Micky Ned doesn`t have a problem with Duel Players.

Still don`t know about Lucey. Many wouldn`t let him near the team again. But the argument goes that if he can perform for the footballers, surely he can play for the hurlers too. I dunno...there`s space for him on the panel alright, I`d prefer not to have him near the fullback position, but are we really heralding Breen as the new saviour at full back after holding a starved Aisake for one match? Geary can`t play there anyways, too slow. I`d still like to see Geary tried at centre-forward, but not in chance-my-arm Joe McKenna way...
