You can`t blame Meath for what happened-if anything I feel sorry for them. They were put in a no win situation-very few teams would`ve offered a replay especially as Meath felt they were hard done by in a number of other calls. They also couldn`t really celebrate winning a first Leinster in 6 or 7 years as it will always be tainted. Fancy Kildare to beat them partly down to this but I wouldn`t be upset if they won-they won`t be going past the semis anyway.

Of course, you can blame Meath. It was a Meath player that cheated to win the Leimster Final.

So basically anyone who has ever scored a goal which should not have been disallowed is a cheat. Why should it matter when it`s scored. It wasn`t our fault the goal was allowed, we didn`t make the ref`s mind up for him. People are such dopes.

Every free in a game is "cheating"-how many frees did Louth give away in the game? 15? 20? By that rationale every trophy won in any field sports since the dawn of time is tainted because every team will have given away a free and therefore cheated.
The way I saw it, Sheridan grapped the ball, was pushed over the line by a team mate, threw the ball in the air while on the ground and tried to kick but he missed it. It was 100% not a goal, it should have been disallowed and Louth should`ve won the game but that`s sport sometimes-you don`t always get what you deserve.

Ah come of it Royalgirl you can`t be that blinded by yer county loyalty .... can you? ...Sheridans interview after the game was shameless and lost youse manys a neutral`s support at the weekend. Should you care about losing that support? Probably not but at least have the good grace to be embarrassed by his actions.

But real champions would have offered a replay and not hidden behind mealy-mouthed sentiments such as `we`re in a no-win situation`.

Even the French didn`t try to defend Henry, but Meath heads are defending Sheridan.

not much of a fan of meath  ( took great happiness from our comeback in dr cullen in 08 ) , and not a great fan of sheridan  ( given his comments re a goal disallowed in that match ) , but one thing i will say that has rarely been mentioned in this fiasco is that sheridan at least attempted to swing his leg at the ball.

Thus, I think the calls of cheat are a little harsh.

I think to show their outrage at the injustice committed on the smallest county on the Island , the Cork , Roscommon , and Kildare fans should not interact in any way with meath fans on the day and should should also jeer the meath team at every chance and rotten tomato`s should be thrown at both the the meath team and their supporters at every opportunity on Sunday.  (For my part I am refusing to give meath a capital M in my posts ) .

I agree completely about Sheridan Sam and 3 of my mates from Naaaavan were/are disgusted by his interview straight after the game and his carry on at home that evening  (word on the street is a couple of people said hello to him in Coppers the following night ) .

However I can understand the Meath players predicament. They should never have been asked to make the decision. Croke Park and their own CB let them down.
