I did these calculations a few weeks back. I am finished with them now, thought I`d share them.
They relate to the interest rate and cost projections on the EU/Bi-Lateral loans. Drawdown is based on IMF projections.
If you want to change the swap rate use the highlighted row only. The rest is automated. Well should be anyhow.
Spain`s 8 year bond rate is 5.22. I can`t see us and Portugal (who`s entry to the facility will coincide with the interest rate reduction ) getting funds much cheaper than Spain. The nearest comparable commercial paper in spain is an 8 year bond at 5.22%. It all points to around an initial 1% interest rate reduction.
In my opinion anyway.

I hear enda isn`t friends with Merkel anymore. He will be lucky to get 0.1 Interest rate cut.

Ah I will give him at least 100 days before I make any comment on him. He is only there a few days. I think the que of people waiting for him to ____ up is kind of sad.
