The bravest performance of the year so far was that of Colm Murray in MND – The Inside Track. Screened on RTE One this week, it marked a change from the usual dirge that passes for television programming these days.

Just watched it, t`would bring tears to a glass eye. It`s a horrid disease, impossible to imagine how one might try to deal with the certainty of it all, I remember seeing Jinky on TV a few years ago talking about his determination to beat it but of course all to no avail, good to see that Ms Hardiman is predicting a cure in her professional lifetime, hopefully it might come in time to help Colm. Good luck to him and all who suffer from it.

Credit to RTE as well, they do these programs very sensitively, not always an easy challenge.
