Nenagh led early on by 1-3 to 0-1 or something like that. Lukas O`Brien got a goal for ArdScoil and then Jamie Shanahan scored a penalty. Pretty much point for point from then on until Nenagh pulled away to open up a 2 point lead with time up. Ardscoil got 2 points in injury time.

the replay is on tomorrow in tipp town at half 2. You would have to think nenagh had all the chances in the first game to put them to bed and maybe they have lost there chance....... of course it is stupid to think nenagh have thrown it away as they said this after the thurlas match the first day and they came back stronger to win.. should be a very good match

Apparently ASR are going to have a lots of positional changes from 8 - 15 and M O Loughlin starting. If conditions are poor ASR would want to adopt to them and play direct hurling, though this team is made up of players who want to run with the ball, play short passes and walk it into the net. They need their talented county hurlers to play to thier full potential and if they do that should raise the overall team performance and secure the win. Nenagh have some talented players also and their overall workrate and effort the last day was greater then ASR`s. ASR need to up the anti in that department also. Its a pity the game was not on the weekend just gone as schools hurling is very entertaining and midweek games are not for the general public.

I am totally against the notion schools playing weekend games and games during holiday time.

On the very day this match is being played the Irish Times has given Ivan Yates the bones of a full page to have yet another go at teachers, quoting all the usual figures that you hear but which bear absolutely no relation to what we actually do. And you can be sure he makes no mention of the game above.

Fair play to the teachers concerned for giving up their time during their break. It wouldn`t be me anymore I`m afraid.

Its hard to let go sometimes I am afraid, and holidays are the last thing you think of, unless you had specific plans to go someplace. Last year, I trained the primary school team I was with a couple of times over Easter because we had a final coming up, and it would have meant not hurling with them for 16 days.

Unfortunately the stick teachers specifically get in the media and from the general public grates with us all sometimes, but those young players gave me everything I asked of them, and I owed it to them to leave no stone unturned to help them win that final.

Who said anything about money you clown.

I`ve been taking school teams out for twenty years for no money.

Easier to answer what you thought I said rather than what I actually said, isn`t it?

There`s only one clown here and it`s not eastgael  (this time anyway lol ) . You are the one who put up a totally irrelevant post on a thread about a Harty Cup game. You have aired your grievances ad nauseum about how under appreciated your Herculean yet Corinthian efforts have been over the years.
Get over it or start a thread where people who are interested one way or the other can comment. Just because you no longer want to continue to put in non paid hours outside the classroom does not mean that a Limerick and a Tipperary school where the teachers do not have that attitude, should change their fixture.
