Two easy games to call , Liverpool to continue the good momentum from last week and start to close in on 4th place with a win today on a very poor Arsenal team.
Spurs to recover from last week and beat a poor Utd team tomorrow , Spurs won`t feel the pressure tomorrow because they don`t see themselves as competing with Utd for the title , but , where as last week they felt under pressure to win and acted the way they always do under pressure and fell to pieces.

Liverpool 1 - 0 , totally dominant in the match , could even afford to miss a penalty .
This could get very embarrassing for Arsenal , that is if they even do embarrassment anymore.

I went the other way, backed Arsenal, Man City, Chelsea and Man Utd to all win. Worked out at 18-1 roughly, small wager so hopefully it works out.

City and Chelsea will win alright , but the other two are very dodgey.
Arsenal just score as I type , totally against the run of play , Liverpool should have wrapped up by now , missed penalty , shots off the post. Doesn`t matter as Liverpool are so the superior team they will still have a few to spare by the end.

4-1 it should be at this stage, all over arsenal.
2-1 to spurs over the franchise.

Liverpool should be home and hosed now. The Henderson-Suarez double miss when one up could be huge in context of looking for cl spot.
RVP will fancy his chances of nicking another one against an aging Carragher.

That is the difference between a quality striker in RVP and an average one in Suarez. RVP can finish. CL looking a long way off for the Pool now, back to reality after the highs of Cardiff last week.

So predictable .
Dalglish has to take some of the blame here. Liverpool had been looking very flat in final half hour and only change is Bellamy on after 87 minutes. Adam looked dead on his feet and contributed nothing in last half hour.

True but how does Downing get a game at Anfield?

Daylight robbery , Liverpool should have had this well wrapped up.
But you have to acknowledge a class striker like Van Persie, probably technically the best volleyer of the ball in the game at the moment , much like his countryman Van Basten was.
Can`t see Arsenal holding on to him much longer , he is now at the peak of his game and will probably have his choice of big clubs in the summer. Could be at Cheslea next season.

In the long run it might not be a bad result for Liverpool. Gets rid of a monkey off their back regarding this ridiculous unbeaten home run but where they are drop ping points for fun. Even today they never forced the game to grab the win despite things not oing for them. Bringing on Bellamy in the 88 min and Carroll in after the goal. They should have been made 20 mins earlier.
Also today should be the day Carragher is finaly put out to grass. Great servant but just not up to it. Martin Kelly as well ball watching on too many occasions but I wouldn`t worry too much about him, he is young and will improve no end. I would see him as a good centre back though. If Agger is out bring in Coates instead of Carragher.
Scandalous fluffing of a penalty today and Suarez not to be seen.
Arsenal totally outplayed but in RVP they have a man that will get them champions league football. Whats let to say about him at this stage. Deadly.

Good result for Arsenal-knocks one of their rivals out of CL contention. Between themselves and Chelsea now for 4th although I don`t think that matters to Liverpool fans as a Carling Cup win was the stated ambition at the start of the season apparently. What a player RVP is-talk of Suarez being in the same league as this guy was shown up for what it is today-just talk. In saying that, probably shouldn`t be too hard on the guy as he is probably sore enough after the penalty incident-really showed his bravery to continue playing after it because with the amount of rolling around he did I thought he was going to die.

RVP on his own is only 5 goals behind the full Liverpool FC squad for the season.
10 points behind 4th spot now. Dalglish needs to shake things up very, very quickly or all the cups in the world won`t save him.

8 points closer to bottom than what they are to the top alright Hitch but they should have enough about them to steer clear of serious relegation trouble-they will have to improve league form alright but I think the danger with the League Cup win is that when you have achieved your goals in February then you might take the foot off the gas for the rest of the season.

The irony in Blanco`s opening post is that Arsenal were poor today, highlighting how dreadful Liverpool are. Three home league games played since Jan 1 with 1 goal scored and that was an own goal! No creativity whatsoever in midfield and no scoring threat up front. What must RVP be worth at this stage if Suarez and Carroll are worth what Liverpool paid for them? Just a sublime finish for the winner, 43 goals now in his last 41 games. Arsenal have CL spot sown up now, West Brom just went 1-0 up against Chelsea. AVB to go this week I reckon.
The silver lining is we will not have to endure delusional ramblings for a while.

Once again, Blanco shows his complete cluelessness when it comes to soccer! Why does he even bother start soccer topics anymore? The guy is an idiot.
You can be sure United will win tomorrow now too.
Give up Blanco.
