The Greater Cleveland Sports Commission and the Midwest Gaelic Athletic Association recently announced the 2013 North American Gaelic Games Finals are scheduled to take place in Cleveland.
This is the annual championship of Gaelic football, hurling and camogie and will bring approximately 1,500 athletes that will make up 80 men’s and women’s teams from around the United States to Victory Park Ohio over Labor Day Weekend.
Cleveland’s own St. Pat’s Gaelic Football Club has campaigned to host the games for six years on behalf of the division. In addition to the competitions, Kamm’s Corners in Cleveland will host several social events throughout the weekend.
