This team strolled to the division 2 title last year. Now a more experienced team have been humiliated in div1a. What has John Allen brought to this team?Time for John Allen to be booted out.
Is lt time for Eamon Cregan to arise and lead Limerick to the land of Celtic Crosses?

Is it time for people from Limerick to get realistic and realise they arent as good as they think they are and their expectatiosna re totally unrealistic considering they have won 1 all Ireland in the last 70 years

In relation to John Allen, My fears and the fears of many others have been realised.
After game 1 of the league I called for him to be swiftly removed. The losers in Limerick County board have stood by him and are paying the price.
This batch of young players are too talented to waste a year or 2 with John Allen.

The talent is there Offaly, but the right man is needed to get it all gelling together.

Have they any more talent than Kilkenny,Cork,Tipp,Clare,Dublin,Galway I doubt they do have more talent coming through than those counties (all of whom have had more underage success than Limerick in recent years apart from Cork maybe) so basically they are at about number 7 or 8 in Ireland at the moment which is pretty much where they have been for most of tehir history and where they should be expecting to be based on recent form at all grades of hurling

Munster anyway.I have a feeling the team that takes Munster this year will be taking the Mc. cup the first Sunday in September as well and if Limerick is that team here is one Clareman that will be in your corner.

Limerick have a soft enough run through Munster anyway , only Tipp and Cork stand in their way of getting to the Final.

Agree with your regarding Cork, but Limerick won't beat Tipp imo.

didn't know kilkenny had pull out of the championship for 2012
what ever about tipp winning they could get to the final again
but limerick and clare are years behind kilkenny they wouldn't be in the same class as kilkenny come championship a fool would think other wise.
clare and limerick are in the same group as waterford,Dublin, offaly, galway,Dublin Cork, when it comes to championship.
why all this doom over Limerick not winning what have they done since 1994,1996, to make them all ireland winning i fail
to see it anyway.
they will be 7 to 10 points off tipp in the first round in munster this year for starters.

Unfortunately I have been correct about the county team for years now, believe me I wish I was wrong about these things.

I suspect Allen if betting it all on the first round of the Championship. Limerick faded in the last 10 minutes.. I wonder how much training they did this week?

The least Limerick Supporters do is give the Manager a full Season in charge before Judging him and not on League results only.

We are all angry at some of the decisions made by John Allen today. Especially the 2 men inside full forward line in the first half. G.Mulcahy been pulled away from the forwards after scoring 2 points was shocking. Mikey Ryan is not inter county standard. Suprised he was brought on.
Managers will be judged in the championship though. And rightly so. We are slowly improving. We were missing vital players today that would have made a difference. Lessons learn't I hope and hoping we can fix some obvious issues before the tipp game.

Got rid of Got rid of Davie Keane afer 6 mts, Pa Joe Whelan after 6 months, Joe McKenna 12 mts, Bennis 2yrs, Justin 12mts, O Grady 12mts, Also sacked Tom Ryan after winning league final. The only manager that got a good run was Eamon Cregan and he only won one or 2 championship matches. I think the people that are calling for changing the managers in Limerick are more the problem than the managers themselves.

I have always wanted the managers to be given a chance. I was all in favour of supporting Justin the year that Seamus Hickey and Gavin O Mahoney and others watched their own team get relegated. Justin and those of us that supported him were on the right side of history.
This is the first time I have wanted the manager removed. John Allen brings nothing to the team. We can waste the next year or we can move now.

I've been following Limerick for decades during the good days and not so good so I'm reasonably well qualified to make comment.
You say that John Allen brings nothing to thisvteam, well for its worth comments such as yours only cements the fact that most other counties see us as a bunch of the most deluded,,unrealistic and divisive supporters be found anywhere in the country.
Life goes on John Allen might have good success before year is out,and I wish he has just to prove divisive and negative people like you wrong.

thankfully we are still competetive i thought a few years ago we might slip even further down the pecking order but we have stabilised and are missing 3 to be highly competetive and i am told they are coming

That's what I keep telling 'em. Clare have won minor Munster Titles and an u21 Munster & All Ireland title in the last few years whereas Limerick have won a Munster U21 in 2011. It will take time for them to reap the rewards and I think they will do do. Some Limerick supporters need to give the team/ players some breathing space, take the pressure off them and stop blaming everyone else for their misfortunes.

Your comment about 70 years is just a load of old cobblers. In 95 Clare were thrashed in the League final by kk and by Tipp and LK in the previous two Munster finals, not beat by two points in the last few minutues, by what is a very promising Clare side. When Ger Loughnane faced into the Munster championship that year Clare had won one All Ireland in 107 years, achieved 81 years earlier. He regarded that as irrelavant and so should we. By the way best of luck to Ger for a speedy recovery and congratulations to Clre. it would have been hard luck on them to lose three finals in a row.

Just for your information Cregan is also an All Ireland winning coach (with Offaly in 94) and played a central role on the field as an a winner of an All ireland, a national league and four munster senior medals. He also played in every position in the field except corner back, the position in which his father won a League and championship double in 1934 He was a highly accomplished footballer. So leave off this icon. I agree his day is probably gone as a coach but I for one have very little faith in Allen

Limerick exile in Clare
I have followed Lk for fifty years but even that does not make me an expert. However a bit of healthy dissent is no great harm. Some of the decisions made during the League just look as if there wass no anxiety to seriously experiment. Last year Murphy saved about eight certain goals in the U21 Munster final and the galway game, and conceded only one goal and that was in the Cork game when his defence was in disaarray during an injury, yet he has hardly got any playing time during the league. We have persisted with a full back who is clearly not up to it. The removal of a man back into defence who had already scored three points was another poor decision. I could go on a bit further but we will leave it at that
