I got a cultec around christmas time and when i got it there was a rough bas on it to cause friction with the ball and so it wont slide off easily.
However the roughness (excuse spelling) has worn off and now the bas is smooth. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get the friction back?

Apparently a coat of glue and a sprinkling of sand is all it needs. Came across this tip in an article in the Examiner during the week. A root through the sports section of their website will unearth it for you.

What's the attraction with every hurley being exactly the same? I enjoy the challenge of finding that perfect stick and nothing compares to it when you do. Hurling just isn't hurling without an ash stick. Some things are worth protecting and synthetic sticks should be banned.

Tell that to parents who have 2 or 3 kids breaking timber on a weekly basis
