For what its worth id give Aguero both gongs. Hes been simply wonderful, no hassle or crap about him, nothing from him. Scored some fantastic goals in his first season in England, great skill. Just plays the game without an needle. Id have him in my team anyday.

Van Persie as player of the year and Aguero as young player would be my choices. How Scott Parker is nominated is beyond me? A fine solid pro but nowhere near one of the best 6 players in the League this past season, Vincent Kompany has been excellent again for City, Valencia for United has been on fire for the last 5months and Modric is the man that makes Spurs tick would be all be better candidates than him .Szczesny of Arsenal should be a nominee for young player of the year, had a very impressive season in a very difficult position. Oxlade-Chamberlain looks a great prospect but has played nowhere near the amount of football Szczesny has played.

Not wrong Reb, strange alright.
Hoillet from Blackburn, Mackie at QPR, maybe McClean for his impact since Christmas even?
Odd choices, Bale is hardly a young fella anymore.

Not only that he hasn't been that good this season either. Aguero has been around 5 or 6 years at this stage strange to see him in the young player category but as he is in it then he has been streets ahead of anybody else on that list.

It has to be Rooney and Welbeck,
Not really. I think Hart has had a great season and Aguero for the young player.
Jimbo will be pleased with my selection.

Hitch the reason RVP doesnt get the nod from me is not that Sergio in terms of playing has been better but its this thing with VP when things dont go his way..witness last night refusing to shakehands with Caldwell, he was involved in afters with the Newcastle keeper Krug as well..great player but sportmanship lets him down, Sergio on the other hand stays clear of all that s**te and win or lose he just accepts it.

Rebel, without doubt Arsenal are in the position they are now due almost solely to one man RVP.
I do agree however, while RVP is a class footballer, he lacks class, but its goals scored that counts and he has carried gunners on his own for long enough this season, couldn`t say same about Aguero..Silva, Hart and Kompany also pulled their weight.

Fair enough Sledge, but for me for the overall award you need to look at the complete package..and sportmanship and accepting both winning and losing with grace is important. S Aqero has had lumps taken out of him in matches, he just dusts himself down and gets back on with it. VP lacks that and can be quite neddley in matches..i mean for a so called award winner not having the grace to shake hands when your beating takes away from it for me. I havent once seen Aquero moan or give out or get involved with opponents all season. Thats class and never mind the skill. Also you could put him in any team and he would carry them id say.

Yep I agree, didn`t do himself any favours last night and has the spoiled child attitude about him, but don`t think that will be taken into account in this award.
I actually think its an easy decision this year in RVP and Aguero for young player, but forgive me I`m still trying to get to grips with the genius that is David Moyes as a nominee.
