Does Inda get out much these days or indeed Michael Ring? Before he became Taoiseach hardly a week went by without one of them meeting a 'widda woman' somewhere who had a tale of woe for him to relate to the nation. 'Tis a pity 'cos he might know whats going on around the country.

Enda says 'if I might say' at lot. Pity he wouldn't just say it or don't say it..

might say it builds in plausible deny-ability..i never said it ...I said I might say it!

Michael Martin is 'going forward' alot... but like the italian tanks...he has 1 forward gear and 8 reverse gears..the forward gear is in case he gets attacked from behind!

He said yesterday that the water meters will provide 2,000 jobs, while that may be true its not a great angle to use to convince or pacify people i think.

On another note, the Michael Noonan cooment was taken out of context or at least taken in isolation (the water meter will be the home owners friend). People up in arms over this, typical of the media the way they take a piece of a comment, run with it and the public take it on board without being aware or informing themselves of what was meant. They could screw us for more money for the water under a different taxing angle, at least these charges are transparent.

The 2,000 jobs will probably be in China. The installation of the meters will probably have to go to e-tender unless it is divided up. Some Turkish or Spanish outfit will win the contract. be fcek all jobs in it.
