Tipperary County Board also extend sympathies to the families of John Joe McCormack and Chris Lacey.

John Joe McCormack was also from the Knockavilla Donaskeigh Kickhams club although he resided for many years in Tipperary Town. John Joe won an All Ireland minor hurling medal with Tipperary in 1947. A keen golfer, he was for many years responsible for taking team entries at the Tipperary Supporters Club Golf Classic in Dundrum.

Chris Lacey lived in Carlow but was a native of Cappawhite. Chris was a stalwart member of the Tipperary Supporters Club and provided generous sponsorship and support to the activities of the Club and will be especially remembered for his active participation in the annual golf classics over many years where he never failed to enter a strong and competitive team.
