Good game to watch, mostly end to end stuff. I think thats the best Bayern team since the early noughties. A bit too much play acting from both sides but all to play for in the return leg.

Ribery seemed to be fouled a lot.

Gomez missed a load of chances.

It's nicely set up for the 2nd leg.

Did you hear Mark Lawrensen saying that Bayern Munich shouldn't be allowed host the final, that 3 or 4 weeks would be plenty of time to organise the final.

TV3 are really ruining my enjoyment of matches.

Ribery is a scandal and i can't believe someone has not stated so so far here.

He makes Ashley Young look like a rugby player with some of his carry on.
Ronaldo yet again went missing in a big game for Madrid. Mourinho undoubtably is a good manager but fcuk me is he blind or what? Madrid will find it hard to win anything with Ramos and Pepe at the back. Pepe is a liability and both Chelsea and Barca will fancy their chances at this stage whoever they meet now.

I'm no fan of his but thought Ramos had one of his best games for madrid last night.Totally outmuscled Gomez and also made a super tackle to deny a certain goal.for once he actually looked quiet solid alongside Pepe. Of course he done his usual rash tackle for an unneccessary yellow card but apart from that he was good.I've seen him play a lot worse in recent weeks in Spanish league.
Its going to be some game in Madrid.Bayern are lethal on the counter with the 2 wide men and Schweinsteiger will be better as he will have benefited alot from geting a run last night as he's been out injured for a while.

The winner Bayern got could be huge. 1-1 would have been a different story. Madrid to go through with a 3-1 win

Was he joking or was he saying it seriosly because if he was serious it really proves what a ginnet he is.Him more than Trevor Welch is the main reason I never look at the champions league on TV3

Can't understand why BBC and TV3 employ Lawrenson, is there a single person on AFR who enjoys his "contribution", for me his personality is that of an oul wan moaning at the bus stop.

On what grounds? Is it because they might make the final?

He was pure serious.

This is not a direct quote but 90% accurate.

In this day and age a team should not have home advantage in the final. 3 or 4 weeks is enough time to organise the final.

What they were doing playing Ronaldo on the left was beyond me - he was under the cosh every time he was on the ball. He's the complete confidance player in every game - if it doesnt come off for him early on it just doesnt happen at all for him and you'd be better taking him off. Def didnt happen for him last night, trying these flicks that were completely unnecessary and then his free kicks were nowhere near good enough.

Every time I see him, I see that infamous wink.

A very good player but much over rated by the media!

I enjoy listening to Mark Lawrenson views but that is certainly a strange comment.
