What's best glove to protect palm of catching hand?
Young fellow has a Mycro glove already which is brilliant to protect wrist/outside of catching hand but offers no protection to palm when catching a fast moving ball.
I know some people will say he should be tougher and should'nt need to protect the palm but your comments/suggestions would be appreciated anyway.
Thanks.

I think Lidl or Aldi were doing a glove that Lar Corbett endorsed last year (could be wrong). Maybe their website is worth a look Barry.

There is an Ashguard type one called a Setanta Glove available that also protects the palm of the hand

On that note, does the Ashguard exist anymore??

Not being smart but the catch in hurling should always be in the fingers get him to practice cupping his hand and squeezing on impact not snatching at it mid air ..... Best tip I learned off Joe Cooney when I was about 11.
