i presume it is still on next wednesday nite in the park?
ballyea have come through on the easier side of drawn once cratloe were knocked out. kilmaley minor a champs 3 years ago have come through tough campaign have played only 2 teams but have played amazingly 340 minutes plus of hurling
i would say to me kilmaleys name on the cup . and while i neutral here after their campaign nowbody bar ballyea would begrudge them victory in 2012.

If Ballyea are to win they'll need more scores from their forwards. Kelly wont win it on his own. They have a fine set of backs though, Paul Flanagan, Jack Browne, Cathal Doohan not sure if Gudgie will play there. Daire Keane who was very poor the last day will need to up his game for Kilmaley's sake. I think Kilmaleys best line is their full-back line. They looked very solid the last day. Both defences look solid, whoevers forwards motor best will win.

Kilmaley should win on game time alone. However fatigue may hit in. I give a strong chance to Ballyea as they have proved as a unit that they adore playing in the park. In the under 21B final 2011 they sailed past O C MIlls (0-18) to (0-5) and remember saying at the time that they would be very dangerous in this years competition if they moved up to A. Head on the block time. Kilmaley by 3.
Hope it is a great final.

From watching the games against the Bridge, Kilmaley look a well rounded team. McGuane at centre back and Cleary at midfield/half-forward seem to be key players for them aside from Keane. They will need more from Keane in the final as the Ballyea backs have been strong so far.
It will be interesting to see how Kilmaley decide to deal with Tony Kelly, he has been the main source of scores for Ballyea. The Park might well suit the Ballyea forwards more than the field in the Bridge did and they will be looking to county minor hurlers and footballers Deasy and O'Leary for more scores from play.
Should be a cracking local derby!

should b a cracking contest. u21 is a great leveller of an age group as physicality becomes less important n teams that might not have strong at this age grouping can cause a surprise ala eire og 2 yrs ago.
this is initially ballyeas minor team from last year plus paul flanagan. kilmaley wil b slight favs but i think ballyeas fresh legs will catch them. hopefully t kelly will be left around the middle unlike the crazy decision to move him ff last yr which cost them a minor title.
ballyea by 2. up the black n amber

just heard that ballyea's injury crisis is over and they have everyone available to play.kilmaley have played a lot of matches and are battle hardened. if balyea are to win they will need their management to stay cool and not to lose the plot as in the minor final last year. another issue for ballyea is that the management have annoyed several players and some players have little respect or confidence in the line. kilmaley by 4 points.

I think any players would have their fill of any management team after 60+ sessions since the start of the year. I think its harsh to say that the players have little respect bearing in mind the success that this group of players have had at a high level of competition over the years.
Did Jack Browne not dislocate his shoulder in the semi? Another of Ballyeas starters tore a hamstring in the semi so he will be doing well to make it for Wed night.

It'll be interesting final. Hard to call as this Ballyea team wouldn't have been A comIng up. As someone said most of them will be 19 with a couple of 20 year olds. Probably 10 of the Ballyea team have senior experience but whether that counts for anything I'm not sure.
Kelly and Keane are no doubt match winners on the day but neither are great to bring other players into play when not going well.
I have seen a lot of the Ballyea lads and rate them highly. If they have everyone I think they'll win. But will need Deasy and o Leary to weigh in with scores to back up kelly. Doohan Browne and Flannagan ate top class and would be on any senior team in county. Where they play gudgie will be interesting but they'd be a great partnership at 8 and 9 with kelly.

What ballyea lads have a problem with managment team. Those lads live for hurling. nearly every day they play hurling.

I'll agree with you there hurler on the edge, i don't know why they would have any problem with the management. The same manager was over last year's u-21 B winning team.
AFAIK Ballyea's management team at this age group has remained almost the same since u-14.
They have 4 Clare u-21s (Doohan is probably up to that standard too but isn't on the panel)and 2 Clare minors this year.
I would assume that these lads owe a lot to their mentors and I don't know how it can be assumed that they have any problems with them.

This isnt true Fergie O'Loughlin although not there this year and Donal Kelly have been with these lads since they were 10 and have brought Ballyea to heights they could only have once dreamed of. Twasnt so long ago when A hurling wasnt heard of around Ballyea. The players have been blessed to have these guys. Michael Guilfoyle is there this year and Ronan O'Looney has been there the past few years

You'll be able to have a sleepout Saturday morning before heading to Clonlara where yer seniors are in action at 4.30pm, if still mad for action then you'll to face for Corofin - the second team are on up there at 6.30.
....or alternatively you can turn into Newmarket on your way home after the Clonlara game where the Blues host Cratloe in Fr.Murphy Pk, should be a good tough even game if recent encounters are anything to go by.

Kilmaley to win by 4 points. Really don't like Ballyea and their cockiness.Kilmaley are a fine balanced team with aload of decent men on and off the field.
