If Cork win the hurling league final, Eoin Cadogan will have football and hurling league medals from the same year.
I know Teddy McCarthy done the championship dual player double in 1990, but has any player done it in the league? In fact, has any team done it before at all?

Cork have done it before in 1980, double in National Hurling and Football league, not sure if any other county has done it.

I have noticed Cadogan lately, He has really grown up now and seems to have given up the childish tactics of the hard man and he is a better athlete for it.Does his job now on the field of play and is a superb athlete.I mean how could anyone really dislike like this guy the way he seems to have turned himself around as well as being equelly great at both codes. The man is a joy to watch now.

He's certainly settled down to become a bona fide centre back in the hurling code - most cork fans wanted him in the hb line as opposed to fb in hurling and certainly he's shoring up the backline much better than i would have thought - however another big dive today in the football which is become all too commonplace in gaelic nowadays - hopefully its an issue that our association will deal with a lot more promptly than soccer - a few mayo lads cringingly diving today and none of us forget the Dublin-Donegal match last year re the donegal players ridiculous dive almost prompting Connolly's suspension.
All we need in cork now is to get Aidan Walsh and Ciaran Sheehan onboard the JBM express in 2013 to continue our rehabilitation......

I read in the examiner recently that Aidan Walsh came off the bench for CIT at ht in the cork county hurling championship 2 weeks ago and scored 3 points from play. keeping his eye in for the hurling anyway!
a league double would be a fantastic achievement for Cadogan. Fair play to him for flying the dual flag. Interestingly one of his opponents in the football final last weekend will also be hurling for his county this weekend - Keith Higgins, Mayo in the christy ring cup.

Fair dues to Cadogan if he does it, its a great achievement to get.
Not many dual players around today, even less dual players that have the ability to win trophies at both codes. A league double would be a serious achievement for an individual and a reward for their efforts, and great for that players county as well.
Hopefully though he won't get it as it would mean we'll win the hurling!! Best of luck to him anyways.

No league double for Cadogan.
I still think Cork will reach the Munster hurling final this year.

I have gained alot of respect for this guy.He has matured as a man and is now paying attention to his game rather than getting into pointless scuffels as the hard man.Ya.he was bossed today but I noticed he never lost the rag.The man has grown and I salute him.A great athlete at both codes and how could anyone not grow to like a man with athletic skills like he posesses.Delighted he did not ruin his career the with childish tantrums.

Agree with this, he's definitely copped on to himself. A bad day today but to be fair there was nothing much he could do.
