Also in the USA and in a not so urban area (sometimes I imagine I hear banjos and so times I do.) The best way to go in my opinion is using a proxy server. I have seen all the games I've wanted this way. Opinions vary as to which ones are the best, best advice look up reviews for them they cost about $10 a month and you can watch a lot of the other programs as well.
RTE's online broadcasts I find a lot better than TV3 streaming wise.

I use this VPN https://www.overplay.net/ if you subscribe use the advanced connection tab to connect to any channel besides channel 1 due to buffering. If you are a little tech savvy you can connect your laptop to your TV....good luck!

I find if you connect to the server "Dublin 3" it works best for streaming content from home. To watch the games, once you've subscribed to Overplay and connected to the VPN, go to www.aertv.ie and create an account. This way you'll be able to stream all the Irish tv channels live (not their online streams the actual channels, ads and all).

This is exactly what I use and while it is not always perfect I am happy with it and bottom line it adequately serves the purpose

I'm not sure what Sky Go is but if you could use it while you lived in Ireland then there should be no reason why it would not work when you are using Overplay. When using Overplay, Sky Go will think that you are signed into the service from Dublin.
