Thursday evening @ Cusack Park (7pm i presume)
Well Lads will we see many changes from last Wednesday
Shanahan out for another few weeks, Martin O Leary in contention.
Any word on Conor Clearys injury, atruggled when reintroduced last week.
Even though Niall Deacy didnt make much of an impact when introduced last week i wouldnt mind seeing him at FF as his height and strenght could problems and has plenty of hurling ability in him. He didnt look a happy camper in the stand after being replaced and might have a point to prove.
Any other potions

It's only Cork, so it might be a chance to try out some fringe players ahead of the semifinal

Not much, I'd imagine Clare will win by 3-4 points even without Shanahan.

home advantage might edge it for Clare. I think a win could be the makings of this clare side. not much expected of them this year but the fear factor from clare sides at this level should be well gone now.

Sars are East Cork. Both Blackrock and Na Piarsigh would have players starting but they are out due to injury.

He should in my opinion GT came on the other day and made an impact set up 3 points and cut the defence open at times all though he did have 3 bad wides at least he got on the ball unlike corry and niall deasy I reckon he should be somewhere in the half forward line his a fine fielder of the ball and is well able to score of either side.

Not too much expectation. Young team and management team would not be that highly rated.
Couldn't beat a decent but by no means exceptional Limerick team in P Ui C.

Not sure how good Clare are but even if Cork were to beat them, a Munster title would be a big surprise imho!!

Dont know anything about clare, but do no that there is very littel expectation in cork with this minor set up. Very poor vs limerick at home and only rallied for the last 15 minutes of that game.
Home advantage is usually huge for minor teams so expect cork to have another disastrous minor campaign ended on thursday night

Think Cork will have to sort something out in relation to underage management. Kenneally doesn't seem up to it in my opinion. Very much a do as i say kind of fella. Watched them on the sideline in PuiC against Limerick and must say I wouldn't like my young fellas to come across the likes of him coaching them.
First time for many of them to wear the red. Started slowly but were still level at half time. Two panic substitutions at half time. One of them the full forward who could have had two goals, only for the ref to pull him back for a free and the second one he showed good thinking in my opinion when surrounded by four defenders he batted the ball only for the keeper to save it. That is the kind of thinking that should be encouraged not hauled off at half time and then given no game time at all against Kerry.
Feel Clare will take them on Thurs night as I just feel the management structure just isn't tuned in. The youngsters were standing waiting for what seemed like two minutes for the national anthem, whereas Limerick kept warming up. Poor poor poor. These lads need proper encouragement if Cork are to develop. Look at Sweetnam with the seniors. Didn't really stand out last year with the minors but flying this year.
Think Cork should be looking at those involved in schools and clubs at U-16 and minor level for their coaches as these would have a better insight into the players and the way players at that age should be treated.

i could be wrong but i think shanahan has zero chance of playing. also o donnell is far more effective in the corner.. and given a decent supply will trouble any corner back at this level. other than shanahan that team probably has 13 (if not 14) of the personnel that will start.

Here's my proposed team,

E Quillegan Feakle
Shane O Brien Clonlara capt
Brian Carey smb
Gearoid Ryan Clarecastle
Aidan McGuane Kilmaley
Conor Cleary Kilmaley
Eoin Quirke Whitegate
David Conroy Doorabarefield
Alex Morey smb
Shane Taylor Broadford
Niall Deasy Ballyea
Noel Bridgeman Parteen
Shane O Donnell Eire Og
Jamie Malone Corofin
Bobby Duggan Clarecastle

Niall Deasy , Jamie Malone and Noel Bridgeman all in for Shane Liddy (inj) Conor Deasy and Brian Corry.

More powerful team, better potential for aerial ability while still retaining pace and skill in the forwards. Improved age profile also with the 3 coming in all in their last year minor.
Home advantage should count for a lot to topple the Rebels and hopefully set up a home tie with Limerick in semis.

Jamie Malone dropped off the panel. What's Brisgeman like, is he more physically able than what we had the last day

Malone is back training with the panel following his college exams. Bridgeman is a pacy forward with an eye for goal . He can operate effectively at either corner or wing forward. I would believe the team the last day was that bit inexperienced with 7 U17s starting. This is a great opportunity for this squad with all these matches at home. Hopefully we can get that bit of luck needed to get over the line.
