Junior and senior, surely they can't be father and son on the Nemo senior team.

Alan Cronin the former Cork player would be about 30 I would imagine, perhaps its a nephew of his.

I wouldnt think so.... i played against Alan cronin back in 2001 so thats 11 years ago and he was probably on the cusp of the Cork team at the time so he would have been maybe 19/20 if my memory serves me.

Martin Cronin is my own age- 37, i played against him more times than i care to remember, i'd say Alan is only a couple of years younger, if they are not father/son it is unusual to see them on a team sheet as Junior and senior, as my original post said why not just use a middle initial, I realise it's a little thing, i'm just wondering

The Alan I know would be 35 give or take a year. Him and Martin are decent enough lads. Is Martin still playing with Nemo? Themselves, The O Briens and Kavanaghs all grew up close to each other.

Alan Cronin Snr was a contemporary of Brendan Jer, Clifford, Fionan Murray et al on extremely talented but unsuccessful Cork underage teams, so that would make him 33 this year.
Alan Cronin Jnr is 20 this year, on the minor team that reached the All-Ireland final 2 years ago. On that basis they're definitely not father and son and have never heard them referred to as uncle/nephew either. Can't confirm if they're related but you're right, it's unusual that they wouldn't just be differentiated by a middle initial or nickname, ala 'Fraggie' and 'Hero' Murphy.
It's Nemo though, they always do things a bit differently!

Not sure what the relation is, but if you saw the two of them then you'd be in no doubt there is a relation, head off each other. I'd say probably cousins. They're not known as Jnr/Snr, its just something used in team sheets to tell them apart.
Alan is a great club player,Martin was a top footballer, part of that team around 99 that should have won an AI.
