Just when you thought LFC could not sink any lower,

"The Hillsborough memorial flames now feature on the neckline alongside ’96"

Such a shame to use this marketing ploy.

Both jersey's are complete tat, but will probably sell bucket loads in Asia.

a "marketing ploy"..a keane come off it..it was to remember and respect those who died at Hillsborough, its a perfect way among others to honour and remember those who died by acknowleding it on the clubs jersey.

I thought they were already remembered on the old crest rebel?

the justice for hillsborough group were consulted by warrior sports before the jersey was made,so i dont see your point about a "marketing ploy".

I can't wait until the United one comes out so I can buy it and wear it to the pub. The United one is brilliant, the best jersey I've ever seen. The Liverpool one is cr@p, the worst jersey I've ever seen.

in fairness club cant be faulted on that.they contacted the H.f.s.g. it was up to them to then consult the rest of the other affiliated hillsborough groups.

The club said via a statement that they contacted the families, think they contacted the families of HFSG but not HJC or the group fronted by Anne Williams, think that's it. Think that HFSG were the first group set up after Hillsborough so I guess they'd be classed as the 'official' group.

They sacked/left by mutual consent Ian Cotton today. He was the head of communication/PR. They may as well not have had anyone in that roll this season, and I guess this latest incident didn't help. Wouldn't have been too difficult to send a letter to each family stating their intention to change the crest.

Yes it is. As if someone had material left over from doing the curtains and didn't want it going to waste.

Jeez face i dunno, I think the Liverpool one is class, reminds me of the Hitachi days when they were a serious team, hate the united one, it'll go down as one of the all time worst I'd say.

Even worse than the United grey one from the infamous Southampton match? Or the green/yellow striped one?

The grey one was pretty awful alright, but for some strange reason I thought the green and yellow one was ok!

The 98/99 home shirt with the zip was quite awful as was the
1996-97 season one with the button up collar. The away shirt of 90-92 was a disaster too, like wallpaper, but the worst for me though was the 72-73 third kit, a yellow jersey with a blue floppy collar.

Was there not a reversible one around 02, gold on one side and if you changed it the other side was white with a black collar, or were they different geansaís entirely???
sn't then new one supposed t celebrate the cotton industry of manchester

td have had a few dodgy ones, I think that deserves a points deduction if the fashion isn't up to scratch.

No mention of Heysel because to do so would require clearance/permission from Juve, something that's unlikely to happen if you look at it from Juve's perspective. The commemorative plaque that wqas installed at Anfield a few years ago took years of tooing & frooing to get permission

No mention of the dead chicken either. How the poor mite has so easily been forgotten.
