Tipp SH Manager Declan Ryan and Tipperary County Board are pleased to announce the return of Lar Corbett to the Tipp SH panel. Over the last few months Lar has been heavily involved in developing his business activities and is now once again in a position to give the necessary commitment to being a member of the panel. Lar will recommence training with the panel immediately. For further details please contact Ger Ryan, PRO Tipperary County Board

Glad he's back.

From a Tipp point of view good to see him back , but there has to be a fitness issue , he hasn't done a thing in months , doubt he will play any part in the Limerick game.

Great news if true. Our game of hurling can only be the better for it.

Can't see him make it for the Limerick game if he has not been tipping away with his club even in the meantime.
Be a month or two before he is ready to start for tipp but some option to have coming off a bench against tired legs.

I have got about 15 txts in the last hour saying he is back, but I have not seen any thing on the sports news websites.

The above statement posted by COT looks official enough , what is the source of it?

So he is back. Retired then missed the s#it training in the cold, wet, mud and he returns after alll the drama written. Hope it all works out for him and that he might even show a bit of interest with Sars this year.

Still haven't seen anything official other than the statement posted by COT , but I had heard earlier that the players received a text letting them be the first to know and the text said there would be an official statement released later today.

Great to see him back, if its true. Its good for Tipp, boosts their chances for trophies and challenging Kilkenny, and good for hurling to have one of its heroes back.

A few big questions though.

1/ Is it just for Tipp, or for the club as well?
2/ After a couple of months of hard work and training with the panel, which player is going to lose out (can't see Lar warming the bench myself)?
3/ Did the management team think they lacked the quality up front and needed Lar to improve the chances of winning the Munster/AI?
4/ Ultimately, and most importantly, will he improve the situation for Tipp?

My two cents worth is, if its true:
1/ If he's serious about Tipp, he'll be back with the club.
2/ Probably Eoin Kelly.
3/ On some level, yes.
4/ With his talent, yes.

Great to see him back. Although to be honest, I think most people would agree that it would have been a huge shock if we didn't see him back this summer

Does that mean Tommy Dunne has departed the scene? The rumour is that he is the problem & not work.

Alot of lads on the 'Is Lar back' topic that are very mis-informed some reckoned he would never play again. Badly wanted by Tipp, should make them much stronger in Munster now. A lad like Lar does not need much training to get fit, not a pick on him. As nobody knew he was coming back how does anybody know he has not alot of training done since he left county panel!!

It does really show some posters are talking rubbish. Only yesterday some lads said he would never play again. Anyway good to see him back.

No question of any team other than Tipp winning Munster now. Kilkenny won't be so confident now. Welcome back Lar, though I never believed you were gone.

Why didn't you quote a source so?

The way i look at this whole mess is two things can happen.

He will come back and hopefully play well and add something to the team

Or his return will have a negative impact on the squad, ala players who grafted all winter will now be dropped for him.

I just hope option B there does not bear fruit.

This business commitments line is wearing very thin.
He will now be under serious pressure to perform.
