While you mention my name on another thread right now, pot kettle..
Anyhow Reb lets call a truce, I wasnt best pleased with the outcome yesterday and might have over reacted.
However your constant reminders about the League cup was driving me round the bend, twas like a broken record.

Manchester City have apologised to Manchester United boss Alex Ferguson after striker Carlos Tevez held up a banner goading his former manager.
Tevez has also expressed his regret after he was pictured with a sign which read ’RIP Fergie’ during City’s celebratory title-winning parade in Manchester.
The 28-year-old is thought to have been passed or thrown the banner by a fan as City’s open-top bus made its way through the city centre with the squad and the Barclays Premier League trophy.
A City spokeswoman said: ``The creation of the tasteless material is in itself reprehensible and in accepting and brandishing it, Carlos has made a significant error of judgement.
“The club wishes to express its sincerest apologies to Alex Ferguson and Manchester United Football Club for any offence or distress caused.”
The sign may have been a reference to a remark by Ferguson three years ago when asked if United would ever be underdogs against City. “Not in my lifetime,” the Scot said.
Tevez, who spent two years at Old Trafford before leaving for City in 2009, said: “I got carried away in the excitement of the moment and I certainly didn’t mean any disrespect to Sir Alex Ferguson, who I admire as a man and a manager.”
City pipped arch rivals United to the title on goal difference after a dramatic last-gasp 3-2 win over QPR on the final day of the season.

What a guttersnipe of a man.
Imagine being in a squad with a creep like Tevez?
You wouldn't see the likes of Paul Scholes at carry on like that.
Of course, Scholesy is a top top bloke.

Stupid by Tevez, but not exactly the shock of the century. Surely Mancini will try and get rid of him over the summer.
Just take what they can get rather than trying to hold tough for their exact figure, better get £20 million and be rid of him than holding out for 25 and risking being stuck with him.
He has to be a dangerous influence in a dressing room, esp one that has young players whose ears/heads could easily be turned.
Looks like their favourites to land Hazard, not a bad start to their summer signings if they got him.

I dont know could Micky Hazard be any use now. He was ok at Chelsea and Spurs back in the eighties and the last I heard of him was that he was driving a London black cab.

Tevez begged me to pass him RIP Fergie sign
City fan tells how star got banner
A TEACHER told last night how Carlos Tevez BEGGED her to hand him the “RIP Fergie” sign he waved during Man City’s victory parade.
Sue Bradsell, 52, passed the cardboard tombstone to the Argentinian striker as he toured streets by bus to mark City’s Premier League title win.
Tevez, 28, was later forced to apologise after the message — a jibe at Sir Alex Ferguson, veteran boss of rivals Man United — sparked fury.
But Blues supporter Sue of Oldham, Gtr Manchester, said the goal ace had been SCREAMING at fans in the 100,000 crowds to pass the banner to him.
She said: “He was leaning over the side of the bus, obviously trying to reach for this poster and begging the crowd to pass it to him. I didn’t know what was on it at the time. I just saw that he was keen to get hold of it, so I grabbed the sign and shouted out ‘Tevez’ and he took it off me and smiled.”
The delighted soccer star — who previously played for Utd — then held it aloft, sporting a huge grin.
The sign was thought to refer to a 2009 remark by Sir Alex who, asked if his team would ever be underdogs to City, replied: “Not in my lifetime.”
Sue said: “I think Tevez knew what the sign said, especially when he was on the bus. His English is good enough to understand that. But I’d no idea it had sparked this big furore. It’s just a poster, I don’t think it was meant with any malice. I think it’s all a bit unfair on Tevez — he just got caught up in the excitement of the day.”
Sue spoke as The Sun learned police are monitoring a sinister internet campaign against Tevez.
The footballer’s address and postcode were posted on Twitter yesterday by livid Manchester Utd fans.
One supporter posted a photograph of the huge gates which protect Tevez’s home, with the chilling message: “Whose gates are these? Looks like the plan’s in action.”
Last night Cheshire Police confirmed they were aware of the Twitter campaign and said they were keeping an eye on developments.
A force spokesman said: “We are monitoring the situation to make sure nothing criminal does happen.”
Tevez yesterday apologised for showing the sign during Monday’s parade — after City chiefs said he had made “a significant error of judgment”. He said: “I got carried away in the excitement of the moment and I certainly didn’t mean any disrespect to Sir Alex Ferguson, who I admire as a man and a manager.”

Fergie has stoked the fire of the mutual distain between the two clubs. He rowed with the manager at the derby game, his references to main Rd as the "temple of doom" and also MC would not win the league in his lifetime comments etc.. He has proded city with a stick on more than one occasion and he is getting his answer back now.
Some turnout for the celebrations, MU would not get anything like that crowd, most Mancs support city not MU.

City fans turned out because of the novelty factor.

On what evidence do you base that statement?
Having lived in Manchester for over five years and based on the people I encountered socially and professionally I would estimate a 60 / 40 split in favour of Utd.
I would say that City enjoyed the majority of support in east Manchester but overall Utd definitely had the numbers.
Have you lived in Manchester and found it differently or are you just regurgitating something you read in an City fanzine or on the internet?

Tevez unrepentant over banner
Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez appears to have no intention of apologising to Sir Alex Ferguson for holding a banner mocking the Manchester United manager.
He displayed a sign saying 'RIP Fergie' during the open-top bus parade through Manchester to celebrate City's Barclays Premier League title win on Monday. City expressed "sincerest apologies" and said Tevez had made a "significant error of judgement". A Tevez statement said he got "carried away in the excitement of the moment".
But in comments carried by Argentinian website www.ole.com.ar, Tevez said: "It seems like Ferguson is the president of England. Every time he speaks badly about a player or says terrible things about me, nobody says that he has to apologise. [But] when someone comes out with a joke or banter, you have to say sorry - but I don't say sorry."
The placard, passed to Tevez by a fan, is thought to have been a reference to a remark by Ferguson.
City had no comment when contacted about Tevez's comments.
