Paul Scholes is coming back for one more year and I'm not ashamed to admit that this news makes my goolies go jingle jangle.
Please use this thread to show your appreciation to a super footballer and a gentleman to boot.
A top top bloke.

another great premiership player but never a true great in the european sense.. people are getting alittle misty eyed because of his longevity..(imo) he got a lesson in last years champions league final and to my recollection never dragged united through the mire in europe like keane in turin. maybe he deserves to be ranked as a great player but he is/was never a xavi or iniesta..and certainly no zidane.he also was poor enough in every major tournament he played in..(for england), i think it really is a bad sigh that he is going to play on for another year.(and giggs) they must be happy enough with what they have got..which is a big mistake.

I wouldn't be surprised if he goes to the Euros. Roy Hodgson might be able to lure him with an invite and with Gary Neville a coach he would certainly be tempted. He would have considered going to World Cup only for the fact Capello didn't approach him personally.

Scholes was consistently found out at international level.
So much so, that he retired early.

England manager Roy Hodgson is set to omit Rio Ferdinand from his squad for Euro 2012 while fellow defender Kyle Walker misses out through injury.

my mother in law once scowled at me that I was no good in the kitchen.
Of course a man only needs to be fantastic in one room in the house I told her.
Lay off Scholsey, he is a top top footballer.
If you want someone to entertain you with all the deft skills involved in tackling then maybe give David Batty a call.

For some reason the poor attempt at a tackle he made which was instrumental in leading to Brazil's equalizer during WC 2002 comes to mind. Beckham got the majority of the blame for that one which was unfair.

Relax Fintan, I did credit him with the 'top, top' footballer part! But the poor feccker couldn't tackle and it aint no crime.

With Lampard doubtful for the Euros they would welcome him back with open arms right now.
