Why are pitch invasions allowed at the end of the soccer season all across Europe and fans cant come on to the pitch in Croke Park?

Fortuna Dussledorf fans got a bit excited there a minute ago and invaded before time was up

Apparently it's because of the upcoming austerity treaty.

I know Man City had it. Their was one at Southhampton when they got promoted, even people got on at QPR in the second last game of the season and they werent even 100% safe at that stage

There is nothing wrong with pitch invasions if the grounds are safe enough. As a Man United supporter, I could completely empathise with the City fans who ran on the pitch on Sunday, they deserved that moment, its raw emotion and nothing more, nothing dangerous in it, just pure elation and what sport is all about.
I am extremely angered by what AI Final Day has now turned into. Christy Cooney to my mind will go down as the most useless waste of money and time we have ever had in the GAA. The thing he will mainly be remembered for is the fence on Hill 16. He even had the audacity to use the misfortune of the Louth fans to erecvt that fence - instead of doing something positive like introducing goal-line technology. He achieved nothing in his time at Croke Park, he turned headquarters into a glorified corporate box, sterile on big days and forgot about the grass roots of the GAA. An abject failure and one that cost an amatuer association over half a million Euro - yet he had the audacity once more to bleat on about payment to managers and how the GAA was an amatuer association. The biggest fraud to ever walk in the doors of Croke Park in my opinion. And should I ever get anywhere near the office he held, I will see to it that he receives a lifetime ban from the association.

Here is the ultimate pitch invasion.
Lad at 0:46 in the beige/cream sweater and shaved head giving it all "come on", He is there again at 3:58, He's hammering the head off someone at 5:28, all shapes then gets a kicking off his life at 5:30 to 5:40

Christy is gone now. Yesterdays man.

Liam O'Neill can become the president of the people by overturning the decision.

No Jimmy - and fvck all he "achieved". If ye or Limerick or any team that has had its fair share of hardship win the AI, then I want to see ye lads celebrate. Same as the City lads did Sunday. What sickened me was the campaign of scare-mongering and for what?

We live in hope SLR.

One Cork langer got a bit over excited a few years back and came all over the pitch in Croke Park - ruined it for everybody of course but still at least he enjoyed himself, and sher that is the main thing.

Ha ha, I'd say that lad gave up the old soccer rioting for a while after that. He turns around to his mates to say 'where were ye?' and they all have to pretend they were about to run in!

That explains why Clare seemed "stuck" to the pitch the following day.

He got some belting in the end. Lucky he was seriously done over. Got up and lived to tell the tale so you would hope he saw sense after.
Thank God I have never witnessed that at any game I was at.

I wasnt ione bit sorry to see that fella getting that kickin. He was on the pitch giving it the big "I am", then beating some fella on the ground. He got what he deserved. I could watch that over and over again.

Christy Cooney's legacy as GAA President. That and stopping the winning minor captain saying a few words.

I think the biggest issue was that bishop droning on and on and on before handing over the cup. He hadn't a clue as to the real thing that counted at that moment.
