After reading what could be best described as a modest attempt at naming seven tourist attractions in Limerick I was thinking we might be able to do a better job in Cork.
Here's my go at it:
1. Kinsale
2. Mizen Head
3. Crookhaven/ Barleycove
4. Fota Wildlife Park
5. Gougan Barra
6. Mountain pass from Glengarrif to Kenmare (Cork side)
7. Cork harbour
Cork Harbour may be a surprise for some but to me it is a beautiful historic part of the county. I'm sure I am after forgetting loads. Sherkin and a few more of the Islands would surely be on my list except for the fact I have not visited them yet.

Kinsale is a little jewel gan doubt.
What about Clonakilty GAA Sports Complex, the finest in Ireland?

Clon have fantastic facilities in fairness but I wouldn't really consider it a tourist attraction or place of great beauty, although the town of Clon itself would certainly be a contender.
Although saying that the greyhound track and UL sports complex did make the Limerick list so maybe Clon complex deserves inclusion.

My favourite in no particular order.....
Beara Peninsula.
Rosscarbery and it's surrounds (Galley Head, Glandore, Union Hall, Drombeg Stone Circle).
Mizen Head Peninsula including Crookhaven and Barleycove.
Glengarriff inc Garnish island and the Cork side of the road to Kenmare through the mountains. Notable mention to The Healy Pass.
Sheeps Head Peninsula. Remarkably unspoiled!
Cork City, a pint of Murphy's in The Rob Roy, strolling through The English Market.
Finally, the great fresh seafood caught off the Cork coast. Eating at a restaurant somewhere in West Cork and being glad you're alive.
Living overseas now and so glad I spent many's a day exploring the county. Nothing like it!

1. The Kinsale Road Roundabout. A marvel of confusion!
2.Washington street pubs, Watch in awe as they hand you out pint after pint, each more septic then the last!
3. The pykies having dinner in McDonalds, Why do fat pykies insist on wearing luminous pink/yellow/orange skin tight clothes, twud turn you off your McChicken sandwhich.
4. I don't mean to be racist, but the amount of Kerry people around the city these days is disgusting. They have Bishopstown destroyed and Douglas is going the same way. Its a wonder that we put up with them at all.
5. Pairc Ui Chaoimh, I strongly recommend the stadium tour. The portacabin dressing rooms out the back are ultra modern.
6. Mitchelstown and Fermoy, The towns that time forgot.
7. Cobh. Strange, strange place!

FF we live in a multicultural society now so we have to accept the Kerry folk. They came here in search of a better life and Cork was good to them :)

You're fond of west Cork, fair play it's a beautiful part of the world.
The view up the marina towards Blackrock castle having delivered a beating to Kerry is also wonderful.

After you go in the door of Reardans take your first right into whats known as the back bar. Plenty strong farming type girls in there.

The very place GD. For a while back then it was one of the wonders of the WORLD.
I was in the area a couple of months ago and I stopped by to see it. Not a sinner there only myself and you wouldn't get standing room back then.
The chipper van and the ice cream van did some business at the time I believe.
Lovely little spot and friendly people.
