Kilkenny playing out of their skins it seems - but can they keep it going? They may get too cocky which will please the Dubs!

How can offaly expect to go out and hurl against Kilkenny when they have a serious case of Stockholm Syndrome where the Cats are concerned, as exemplified by Duignan?
Where has the old Offaly spirit gone?

That's a bad beating by any standards.
There has to be a decent pick of 15 that can put up a better show than that?

I hope there was a good crowd and Clara made a few Bob at least.

I heard that most of the crowd were wearing those half Kilkenny, half Offaly jersies.

It's only Offaly that wish they were another county.

Aye, its sad to see the Wexford and Offaly lads basically kowtow to KK hurling on a non stop basis. No self-respect.

Offaly are the last team outsie one of the big 3 to beat Kilkenny in an all ireland final. So please shut up with this nonsense about Offaly bowing down to Kilkenny.Offaly lose to Kilkenny on a regular basis because Kikenny tend to be very good at hurling and Offaly have fell back badly in thelast 10 yearsd and surprise surprise that means we tend to lose to them.We dont have the hurlers to beat Kilkenny anymore.

Offaly and Wexford only try when they play the Munster counties!

Offalys strength at the moment is not the point. Clare for eg might get a trimming every time they played KK but you wouldnt hear a Clareman going on the way duignan does. Offaly are pu$$ywhipped and this will trouble them even when a good new team emerges. Clare, Limerick etc wont be like that.
offaly always fall back on the kk/kerry thing but those times are fading fast. How long is it since Offaly won even a Leinster title in anything. Over 20 years is it?

Other counties regularly go out and beat Kilkenny, so it must be just an issue that Offaly and Wexford have with respecting KK too much.

Oh wait...

Its the same winning margin that Kilkenny beat Galway by in a competitive league fixture earlier this year, and at least Offaly have the excuse of "its just a meaningless challenge match" to explain the score.

How long? 20 yrs? not an Offaly man but pretty sure, 94, 98, All Irelands, fairly sure they won the 94,95 Leinster finals also, they won minor/under 21 titles 99, 00 also, bit harsh.

As for KK, nice to see them peaking too soon!!!

you got there just before me Lopper. As we all know the only reason they still have a munster championship is to give a munster captain an opportunity to make a speech in front of a crowd.

Ah that clears it up. They probably have to do that when every county in Munster has won a provincial title in the last 3 years.

The fact that there is widespread mediocrity in the province proves what exactly.

there's far too much respect for kilkenny within Leinster. they are a great team but once great hurling counties are far too respectful at the moment.
Tipp are dominant in munster the last few years but do you think they'll ever be handed a munster title? they're always tested.

In fairness Dublin have tried to offer a challenge in the last few years and im convinced Galway can actually beat the cats in Leinster this year

Aye, seems like the Dubs are the only ones with the pride to put it up to KK.

I'll never know how Tipp managed to get through that titanic struggle in last year's Munster Final!
