This morning's 'Irish Examiner' carries their list of '50 Essential GAA Tweeters'.

No. 1 on the list is Laois footballer Colm Parkinson who tweets as @woolberto. At No. 11 is @AnFearRuaGAA. The accompanying blurb says 'Regular links to some of the more thought provoking topics at the home of GAA discussion'.

According to the 'Examiner', the list takes into account Tweeters nominations at #top50gaa, as well as follower numbers and sheer entertainment or information value. It’s a shemozzle of players, journalists and other resources that might help half-time slip by that little bit quicker. But remember — like the All Stars — any list is mainly notable for the couple of glaring and inexplicable omissions.

The full list is here

The Examiner is well worth buying today, the championship pull out is great stuff although i've only been dipping into it during the morning. There'e good interviews with Donal O'Grady(manager) and John Allen. There is an interesting article about the two munster finals or 1987 and the end of two era's. For the Clare supporters there is an excellent feature on the 92 footballers as well as much more. I highly recommend it.

Thought that Daithi Regan deserved a much higher ranking.

I actually unfollowed Conor Mortimer on twitter after a while. Found him to be most annoying. Talk about looking for attention through social media!

The Examiner championship read was excellent today, read it back to front.

The list of tweeters was spot on too i thought, Parkinson comes out with some funny stuff.

Well done AFR on making the list, i have heard a few people praising the place from links to threads posted here through Twitter. Keep re-tweeting folks.

AFR has come a long way since the early days. I can't remember when I first signed on but it must of been 02. I've revisited the site over the years, hence why I've had to register on 3 occasions due to not remembering username/pwd. Keep up the good work and may 2012 be a good year for the Cork hurlers (and footballers).
