From today's Clare Champion by Seamus Hayes :

" Clare will be fielding a team against Waterford in the Munster junior football semi-final in two weeks time ( June 9 ), despite the fact that the team manager Colm Collins has handed in his resignation from the post.
A poor response from the players and clubs led to this decision."

It appears that Clare were unable to field a team for a challenge v Tipp despite nearly 50 players being contacted by management.
Doesn't sound good does it ??

i think its pathetic that some people would treat a chance to wear the ounty jersey with such disrespect. I got one chance to wear the jersey at that level and due to injury it never happened for me again. But I will always treasure the experience.
I know some guys can not make the committment due to work issues and perhaps burn out, but trawl teh net further then.

There's probably a good proportion of that number that just think they know it all. Remember your sporting days are over in a blink and anybody who looks on that grade with disdain we could probably do without anyway.
A fella with ambition should note that doing well in this grade is a good shop window for the senior set up.

it is a players own choice wether he wants to play inter county football or not and we have to respect that.

also a few strong football clubs in clare players from these clubs not intersted in inter county as winning local championship more important and more realastic goal for players.football in clare is a joke when u see hurling clubs winning junior and intermediae football championships because of fitness and larger numbers u would not see football clubs winning hurling championships.

No body contacted your club ?
We have at least 1 player that would be considered for selection.
