This starts at the weekend. I fancy Sarsfields myself, one of the best squads in Ireland never mind Cork, if they get out of Cork, could rattle the All Ireland.

Cant see Sars doing it, i think Midleton will win at a canter with all their youg talent coming through. If not Killeagh might upset the applecart win the county.

No chance of Sars winning an AI or Killeagh winning a county.

Will you ever catch yourself on kid ffs - one of the best squads in ireland!!!I'd say ballyhale, gort, portumna, ballyboden, oulart, thurles to name but a few. Sars may well win in cork, but considering they have won exactly ONE munster championship matches in 2 campaigns they are well off the pace.
A bit too nice, too many nice hurlers to make it outside cork

I fancy Newtown to win there 5th and probably last county championship for a long time this year. Lot of good fast hurlers and there will be one last kick left in the older brigade. Midelton my second favourites and The Glen are my dark horses. Hard to know what CIT will be like this year, Don't think Sars will win it, They will come close but don't think they will win it. Are the 2 Wexford lads still with them, I thought Sars were better when they didn't have the 2 lads to be honest!

Sars may win Cork but not a hope the All Ireland. As others have said not enough bottle and too many nice hurlers. If I was to back a team it would be CIT a serious outfit. Have a lot of class players and they may have Colin Fennelly this time which could be the difference.

The reporter in the NAP Douglas game is extremely angry that the game was an hour and a half of his life that he will never get back!

One thing that was noticeable in last night's games in P ui R was the referring. I thought both refs. made every effort to let the game flow, a lot of hard hits and manly tackling, which heretofore would be blown for. This is a welcome trend to the game here in Cork, maybe the penny has dropped with the powers that be.I hope that today's games will follow that trend.if so, I can get off my hobbyhorse.

I was at the Newtown Killeagh game! Ben O'Connor was flying at centre back cleaning up and getting a few scores. Joe Deane still has it, getting a goal and a few points and setting up another goal! Cathal Naughton scoring 2-1 in 3 minutes in Extra Time was the difference in the end. Newtown 2-20 Killeagh 4-12. An entertaining game!

I saw newtown beat killeagh last night. Newtown's forwards were quite dissapointing, Clifford, Naughton and Jamie Coughlan were all very poor. Newtown were well on top but were only 3 points up about 10 minutes gone in second half when eoin laughlin scored a lucky goal. Newtown moved another 4 points up when Joe Deane scored a super goal, slipping between 2 backs and finishing calmly when one on one with the keeper. it was very tight for the rest of the game, killeagh edged 2 points ahead. Ben (i think) scored one point and Pat Mulchay scored a long range point to level it and send it into extra time. Killeagh started extra time better. Deane caught a great ball and laid it off for joe budds (cork intermediate panellist) to score a goal. Killeagh were up 3 or 4 with 5 minutes left. Cathal naughton then woke up and scored 2-1, game over. Killeagh got a late goal from david cahill but it was too late. Great fight by killegh but newtown had too much. it was interesting to see Newtown abandon their tippy tappy handpassing game when the game was in the melting pot and when they didnt look like winning.

Can't say I noticed this at all. Certainly weren't particularly physical games.
