Was wondering what is the going rate in other counties for entry in to Senior championship games especially? Are there incentives available or such likes?
Here in Waterford it's getting to be a bit of a joke to be honest, take this weekends fixtures in Dungarvan:
Ballygunner v Ballyduff Upper Friday night 8 euro
Dungarvan v Abbeyside Saturday evening 8 euro

Then on Sunday we have a double header:
Mt Sion v Fourmilewater and Passage v Lismore 10 euro

Then Sunday evening we have De La Salle v Tallow 8 euro

Personally my wife and myself will attend Saturday and the double header on Sunday at a cost of 36 euro, now maybe some might think that this isn't a lot to pay out but when the "greenbacks"aren't in a plentiful supply it definitely adds up.
Would a season ticket deal make it more appealing?
I would like to here back from other counties on what happens there. By the way i've yet to see tickets being issued at any of these games when i pay to enter!!!!

In Ofaly it's a fiver for a single match and €8 for a double-header.

Semi-finals and Final have been €15 in recent years.

In the last year of old money I remenber a single match was £3 (€3.81 in European).

In Kilkenny its €5 for a match, €8 for double headers. OAP's and (I think) U-14 are free, students get concessions.

Semi-finals and Finals are €15.

Not bad really, unbelievable value for some of the games I've seen, and some of the talent on the field (in the Ballyhale/Carrickshock match last year we counted 27 of the 30 starters who had involvement with Kilkenny minors, U21's, seniors and intermediates panels at various times, not to mention 10 county seniors on display).

In Waterford they even try to get a fiver out of people to go to the Intermediate games. Quality's not great, and it's not as if they're giving you access to a seat and a stand. If a couple go that's a tenner. A lot of people would like to check out a few games over a weekend. It's too much, people should be encouraged to go to the games. I know Kilkenny do a season ticket, any idea how much it is?

Also David Franks was probably lining out for Carrickshock giving you another senior ic hurler to look at

Franks was one of the ten. The others were Power, Rice, Dalton and Tennyson for Carrickshock and Shefflin, Cha, TJ Reid, M. Fennelly and C. Fennelly for Ballyhale.

Not a bad return to see so many inter-county players for a fiver (€8 for the replay that was part of a triple header).

The season ticket in Clare for 150 quid is some value isn't it?For anybody that would take in several games over a week it definitely is worth it. I txt a friend of mine who is at the Senior game tonight between Ballygunner and Ballyduff and he reckons there's about 200 in attendance! 8 euro entry,if they reduced it to a fiver i'd imagine a lot more would attend.

I seriously think the County Board should look at some sort of season ticket scheme but i've a feeling this would be a step to far for them!
