TODAY FM is delighted to announce the return of a dedicated GAA Programme which will run throughout the Championship from 9.00am – 10.00am every Sunday morning, beginning this Sunday, May 27th.
Presented by Paul Collins, with a selection of GAA experts live in studio every week for the next 18 weeks, ‘Championship Sunday’, will feature comprehensive coverage of the Hurling and Football Championships.
SuperValu, sponsors of the All Ireland Football Championship, will support this modern and innovative programme, bringing Gaelic Games into focus for a national audience first thing every Sunday. For supporters at home, or travelling to matches, it will be an integral part of their day.
Paul Collins will preview and review the action, with interviews, fan views and ticket giveaways forming a regular part of the programme. There will be a feature interview with a top star of the game every week, and we’ll drive the news stories the listeners demand.
This week’s special guests are former Cork hurling player and Waterford hurling manager Justin McCarthy and former Mayo football player and manager John Maughan. There will also be an exclusive interview with 2009 Footballer of the Year and Kerry lynchpin Paul Galvin.
John Duggan, TODAY FM Sports Editor said:
“We are delighted to bring back the passion, the excitement and the anticipation of a Championship Sunday to Today FM. There is a special relationship between Irish people and our national games and we intend to sate the hunger of all hurling and football supporters before throw in.”
‘Championship Sunday with SuperValu’ will be broadcast on Today FM every Sunday from 9.00am – 10.00am, beginning on Sunday May 27th.
