Many Irish and Irish-Americans fought for this country. Certainly glad to have my freedom of speech. Happy Memorial Day.

Well at least our people got full recognition for their effort unlike our black brothers who done likewise but little thanks they ever got to our everlasting shame.

That is true Yankee but you know what we always get it right in this country. When did Britain, France or Germany ever elect a black leader.

God Bless America.

Nonsense, you should not vote for someone based on the colour of their skin.

At a minimum, your comment is bordering racist, GreenDolphin.

You know murray you are a pretty good poster here and most times I agree with your comments but at times I question some that just seem to come out of left field.Like the one you just made.Surely you must know by now where I am comin from.Ok I forgive you so let me get graphic here.This was a fake war and I regret that my countrymen who were by and large way too young to have known what kind of carnage we could bring down on top of those poor civilians who never had any grief with us ever.What I am trying to say murray to you is this.I wore that uniform same as those young men did and was damn proud of it when I did.I was young like those lads were and now know that I was used by people that had an agenda that had nothing to to do with me.I have to live with that,consider yourself very lucky murray the fact that you never will. (Still friends ok.}

George Bush was a great leader and crushed the terrorists in their own country.

Make no excuses, the US and Alliance troops did a great job.

Why wouldnt we GD? Cork are one of the best teams around.I would think a good, hard game against cork will let the newer lads know what its gona be like later in the summer

So basically in order to prove those countries are "getting it right" they should vote a black person in as the leader of the country for the sake of it.

The games have begun Dolph.Ah we have high hopes that no doubt will be shattered down the line.Knowning my fellow posters we could all have been contenders wasnt for those ----n refs that robbed us and managers thar knew fcuk all about manageing.As Marlon Brando said in that great movie On The Waterfront when he said to his brother who was involved with the mob before he had to take a dive.I could have been a continder.

Would have to agree with ProjX on that one. Positive racism can have a detrimental effect on society too. In the American president case, he was the best person for the job out the two in contention so doesn't really matter.
