Lads I was in Israel recently and was warned not to allow them put a stamp on my new passport, needless to say they ignored my request and stamped it both on entry and exit.
Will their stamp cause me problems in other countries and if so will the Passport office change it?

I have been in Israel and they stamped my passport. Have done a fair bit of traveling since with no issues at all. Don’t think other countries even look to see what stamps are on your passport in my experience.
What countries do you think would have issue with you for the stamp?

I'd say a sun holiday in Saudi Arabia might be out of the question...

I was attending a medical conference. Not sure if i would tear a page out of the passport.
Keanes Road, i believe any of the Arab countries or the likes of Indonesia etc have big problems with those stamps.

Have to check it out but I haven't heard of it happening to anyone.

Never even thought of it before tbh.

A friend of mine spent a few months in the kibbutz in Israel some years back. She got fierce grief afterwards anytime she went to an arab country.

Definitely don't tear a page out of your passport. It will cause you bigger problems than having an israeli stamp. Some countries will automatically refuse entry and deport you on the spot (including US, most of Asia, most of Europe).

In recent times, Israeli stamps have been less of an issue but it is still problematic with a number of the arab countries, however, most of the problem will be you will be left at immigration for a few hours longer than normal.

In all honesty, how many of the arab/muslim countries are you likely to go to? If you have to go for work, then explain to your work before you go so that if there is a problem, they are aware of it before hand.

Israel border police aren't too fond of irish people as we are seen as being supporters of the Palestinians and hence if you ask them not to stamp it, they do it out of spite.

You will have an issue with Syria, Iran, Saudi (less so), Indonesia, Yemen, and Libya. In all honesty if you have to avoid those countries, it isn't any harm as they are not exactly the most tourist friendly places.

You won't get into Lebanon with an Israeli stamp on your passport.

You've lost me. Are you suggesting Murr and I are the same poster?
