Charlie gave Lar a bit of a slating in yesterday's Mail over Lar's lack of committment towards Thurles Sarsfields. Totally agree with Charlie, very good analyst, tells the truth, be a great addition to the Sunday Game in my opinion.

I met Charlie Carter coming out of the All Ireland U21 Hurling Final in 2009. As it turned out both our cars were parked beside each other. During the 15minute walk he gave a great analysis of the game, was gracious in Clare's defeat of his own county, and overall sound unassuming guy.

I'm sure Carter is very worried about Thurles Sarsfields. Corbett is disliked in KK because his 3 goals dashed the 5 in a row, it is not very complicated. There will forever be question mark about this KK team being the greatest hurling team of all time, they had their chance at the 5 and they were just not good enough.

This club nonsense is only a handy way to have a cut at corbett.

Hear hear! The only ones calling this Kilkenny team the greatest are johnnycomelately's who know nothing about teams back before the 80's. At this stage Charlie will give a controversial analysis to the highest bidder, sad really.

Totally disagree, i have no gripe with Tipp but think corbett's lack of interest in his club is shocking.

Absolute nonsense.

I'm from KK and as regards Lar, I would view him as one of the current greats. No better man the last few years to get ball into hand and terrify full back lines.

Charlie has always been prepared to be honest.

And I have to agree with him on this. Club becomes before county for me and for most GAA lads I know.

As for the question marks over whether this team is the greates. Well I've seen teams since the 1970s and think this is but my Dad reckons the KK team of the 70s was better and I know a Tipp lad who thinks the Tipp team of teh 60s were better.

Who cares. But Charlie is right on the club versus county question in terms of Lar. If Jackie or Eoin Larkin did this, I'd be disgusted and I bet Brian Cody would be too. Lar is still one of the greats, however.

Corbett was always going to be back with Sarsfields for the business end of the season.

We will soon see, Sars have a game scheduled for tomorrow night in the Cahill Cup against Moycarkey. Surely he needs game time so the Club is the obvious answer to that need.

Cork in 4 weeks down there will be a seriously tough assignment and he will surely be used from the bench.Sars could do with him just as much as Tipperary.

Well I wouldn't be in know like Charlie so how is he all knowing about Lars commitment to Thurles, I have no clue. So has Lar come out and said he will not play with Sars or is someone talking crap

This the same Charlie that was a bit sore at Mr Cody also a few years back.

Said he's a top top bike behind the bar.

A top top bloke and a gentleman to boot.

Corbett will play club also, this "lack of interest" is simply not true and a non story.

I'm sure Carter has many sleepless nights worrying about Thurles Sars championship prospects. Charlie was always a bit of clown and a loud mouth, surely one of Cody's best decisions was giving him the road.

There is only one clown here.

Charlie Carter was a gifted hurler. He is a fine analyst. And far from a clown and loud mouth.

It is well know that Cody had to get rid of Carter because he had a big head and he was also a disruptive influence in the dressing room.

He can't break the habit of a lifetime and now continues to be a sh1t stirrer in the mail on Sunday and its 20 readers. :P

So Micheál O Muircheartaigh knows nothing about teams before the 80s? I'll bow to your esteemed wisdom on that score.
