Saw the end of the first and most of the second half. Well done to the lads alright especially as RSA were red hot favourites. The auld enemy are next, lets hope they can keep it up.

That was a fantastic victory. Ireland tend to be less physical than their southern hemisphere counterparts at that age so it's a very good sign.

Great I suppose for the West Brit element among us but of no great interest to me.

You made a stupid comment. Not my fault if you got upset by me pulling you up on it. What exactly is a good sign? That Ireland beat South Africa in one single u20 match?

Yes, I would consider it a good sign that an unfancied Irish team beat the pre-tournament favourites, it will be all the more impressive if they can beat England (current U-20 6 Nations champions) on Friday. Due to the strange nature of progression however (based on seeding) we would nearly have to top the group in order to progress. If we finished second in the group it might all be for nought and the best we could hope for would be 5th place.

The All Blacks were, and I would guess still are, the odds on favourites for the tournament. If Ireland beat them then maybe the can say they have achieved something. Its the exact same as the senior world cup. Ireland win one match against a team of note and they were suddenly world beaters. Giving the team false hype and then Wales come along put a stop to that and England will probably do the same to this team on Friday. Then if South Africa come along and beat England, Ireland could end up in 3rd position on points difference because I cant see them putting 60 odd points on Italy the same way England did yesterday

Caught his foot in the tv cables when trying to convert the second one

JJ is no "goy" anyway. His Kerry cuteness with the boot is very evident in his play

The quintessential 'goy' analyst, Shane Horgan, is in the Sky Studios for this one

20-15 to England. No.20 for Ireland the big ignoramous gave away a penalty try and they conceded another try as a result which cost them the game
