Shane Dowling, as a 19 yr old, would want to cop himself on and stop giving interviews to the media. He is barely out of short pants in intercounty terms and he must remember that, just because he has just landed, that we need to wait 3-4 years before judging the team.
We as supporters were rightly afraid of our \s**te going over to Thurles of receiving a hiding. Trainig is not intensive or good enough - go there some night and you will see for yourself. The trimming against Tipp didnt happen but any team coughing up a 7 pt lead and losing by 4 pts have to be questioned.
I love Limerick hurling as much as any one but i am realistic enough to know that the structures within the county and the level of training the seniors are doing at the moment do not give us much of a chance of success at the highest level.
Carey would not have left unless there was a problem. Whatever you say about him, he loves Limerick full stop.I wish i had something positive to offer but this is just what i think...
