+1!

And as a side note to fans from other counties or anyone else reading the site, these guys do not represent Limerick supporters.

The Limerick gaa public spend a lot of money (Dev draw, etc) financially supporting the training costs of the team.
Shane Dowling, as a 19 yr old, would want to cop himself on and stop giving interviews to the media. He is barely out of short pants in intercounty terms and he must remember that, just because he has just landed, that we need to wait 3-4 years before judging the team.
We as supporters were rightly afraid of our \s**te going over to Thurles of receiving a hiding. Trainig is not intensive or good enough - go there some night and you will see for yourself. The trimming against Tipp didnt happen but any team coughing up a 7 pt lead and losing by 4 pts have to be questioned.
I love Limerick hurling as much as any one but i am realistic enough to know that the structures within the county and the level of training the seniors are doing at the moment do not give us much of a chance of success at the highest level.
Carey would not have left unless there was a problem. Whatever you say about him, he loves Limerick full stop.I wish i had something positive to offer but this is just what i think...

That is a post that reflects a lot of supporters. Okay I accept that Dowling and Hannon are young and their close friends are young. Their young friends will clap them on the back for such interviews while seasoned supporters are angry. This is where the management have fallen down.

When a Limerick player gives an interview he must realise that he represents his fellow players, the county of Limerick, the former players and the supporters who empty their pockets. John Allen has to snip this immediately.

Absolutely correct, the manager should be able to control his players and this is not the case with the current Limerick management. John isn't around much to mentor his players.

John needs to increase his presence with the players. The managers job requires more dedication than currently being delivered.

Again HV raises the 7 points up against Tipp with 10 mins left and the team still did not have the belief or fitness to win the game, there is something seriously wrong there.

Well the actual title of the thread was a give away that what was going to follow wouldn't exactly be intelligent stuff. Has Ciaran Carey has been vindicated? What does that even mean?

This is very true- there's a sort of glass half full thing going on down there the whole time. I think John Allen has done very well. Remember if Tipp's late goal had rightfully been disallowed Limerick would be in the Munster Final.

I think what you see sometimes with people coming on knocking the manager is that they have an agenda and generally want someone else running the team

As an outside observer looking at Limerick threads the past few years I can see that you guys are very passionate but a lot of the times completely deluded, especially the negative ones. Dowling was 100% correct. How many guys on this site ridiculued your chancxes this year, blaming it all on John Allen before a ball was pucked and then came out after the Tipp game saying what a disaster it was despite leading with 10 minutes to go. You expected to be hammered yet you were still displeased with a great performance from a Div 2 team against a team that has been in the last 2 All Ireland finals. Exactly what are your expectations? I'd be far more postive about Limericks chances in 2012 than I would have been 3 weeks ago. Best of luck regardless.

Ciaran was vindicated the night he roared at John Allen on the sideline during the league that a Corkman might not care about Limerick but he did.

Will someone explain to me what ProjX has done to get banned. I dont see anything to breach terms and conditions in the limerick threads. He is doing a bit of straight talking only.

Don't worry hunter, SC hates criticism of the second division unfit Unprepared Limerick senior hurling team.

People need to be and ar critical of the current situation. This came to large focus when Ciaran had enough. I tell you, John Allen really tried to step things up once that happened, but the lack of fitness is too telling.

SC, you really better consider what you say before you are critical of Ciaran. You aren't going to win that one.

Good man sc!

Whatever you do now, don't get up. Just keep rolling around on the ground holding your face and action will have to be taken. At the very least ProjX will be asked to kick the ball out of play while you are being attended to.

Whist! Is that Rosanna Davidson I see running onto the pitch towards you with a bottle? You never lost it!

The muppets need to read AFR fogra at the top of the speak out because if you have any bit of decency you will comment on hurling alone while he is away. Just because he isnt around to ban you, doesnt mean you can go around destroying the site with your cowardly comments. If anybody has a problem with me, I will happily post up my email address and we can arrange to meet up and sort it out. If you arent man enough to do that, then grow up and contribute properly to the site

What was the point in trawling through the archives to find this? It is no longer relevant

Of course he was vindicated. Sure look at what happened Limerick since in this years championship.

They got beaten by 4 points by the team that has been the 2nd best team in the country in the last 3/4 years and the most likely Munster champions, they've slaughtered a few minnows but done very impressively and professionally, they've got the young lads flying and finding their feet at championship level, they're within a shot of a QF and have a very realistic chance of doing so on form and the problems of the last few years seem to be put behind them.

If that's not vindication, then I don't know what is!
