as opposed to the individual threads for betting, and individual Irish games.
To start off: its looking like a Man City shoot-out here, with Lescott giving England the lead, and Samir Nasri equalising.
I'm happy for both players; both of whom received too much unfair stick during the season just ended, although I think Nasri can, and will, do considerably better for us in the coming season
(with an off-season under his belt)
This won't match the classic of yesterday afternoon, but it still remains fascinating watch

Young and millner pretty poor from what I've seen.

I was of the opinion for the last year that Germany will win it and I've seen nothing yet to change my mind on that. The even have a former city player in the team to keep you happy Jimbo.

Whenever one member of The Meeja pick on a player, Nick, they all jump on the bandwagon
(Milner in this instance)
Looking at tonight's line-ups: Mellberg at the heart of Sweden's defence; Sheva at the heart of the host nation's attack
They might be well-matched, but they're probably both entitled to bus passes
And the Swedish line-up has too many over-familiar names to excite one.
Now, more than ever, we're depending on 'Ibra' to put on a show for us!

He might as well be, reb.
Bring back Jimmy Magee, all is forgiven
(even the bould Phil Green would be preferable to this lad!)

Two super headed goals by Sheva!
There's life in the old dog yet
What odds a hat-trick?; (before the game)
But bad defending for both goals, particukarly the second, at the near post

Peter Collins is gone as bad as Ger Canning, you'd swear Shevchenko had just scored the world cup winning goal. He must have been told to show a bit more excitement! Then he says ''you could have written the script for this but nobody would have believed you'' .. WTF? Sweden went one up and Ukraine came back and got two quick goals , not like that never happened in a game before! Typical over use of cliches without thinking of what you are saying

I think it was more to do with the fact that it was Shevchenko who scored the two goals, despite being 36 and deemed "past it" by everybody.

Tommy Smyth was on yesterday for the Irish game but thats the only time I've seen him.He did manage to get in an onion bag reference or two and himself and Lalas started at each other over the no penalty decision.Made for much bettter Telly than the terminator/shaggy from scooby doo combo thats been on the rest of the time.
