Does anyone know if the draws for th harty have been made already or when they will be made.
Also who will be the strongest teams in the competition this year. Im presuming Flannans, Nenagh, ASR or am I wrong?

Its very early for this.
The guys gone are only sitting the leaving now. Some may repeat.
There's an entire U16 and minor championship ahead for possible players to improve.
Come back in three months

The draw is on next Saturday. Difficult to say who will be strong as you never know who will have gone from the Dean Ryan two years ago or who some schools may have acquired. Twenty schools in the hat, but I must agree with the above post it is a bit early to start a Harty discussion.

Five Cork teams this year in the Harty I believe, none of which will be any good.

would you prefer if cork entered one team and withdrew the other four? Surely allowing more players to play harty can only benefit cork hurling. It doesnt seem to hinder tipp?
And besides coming on here to complain, what do you do to assist the cork schools to reach higher standards?

Castletroy College should be good this year, most of last years team are underage again, and they are a year older.

could be upto 20 teams entered this year, expect 4 or 5 to beat the rest fairly handy, flannans obvious early tip and the de la salle team they beat will be missing a lot from that team (no ty)

Wtf? I was just pointing out how mediocre our teams are, I wasn't saying anything beyond. Please don't assume things from my post that aren't there and try not to be a dick in general, cheers.

The Mon? Jaysus they'll get hammered, how can a team picking from about 3 clubs, two of which are rubbish underage, compete in the Harty? They'll just be putting out the Na Piarsigh Minors with the odd lad from the Glen and the very odd lad from Vincents. At least Hamilton have a core of lads playing for Cork underage.

Also, what would help our lads is if they were playing in semi finals and finals - getting hammered in the group stages playing mediocre level hurling is worthless.

The Mon is a completely seperate school to the AG. All in all the AG will have ten on either Cork u 17/16/15 squads. No doubt it is a very young team but whats the harm in exposing lads to this level of hurling. They would be lucky to have the pick of Na Piarsaig minors but I am well informed that they don't. I'd say the Dean Ryan will be their focus.

Honestly they should be joined with another city school and put into the Harty as an amalgamation. Although I agree that its best they are playing in the Harty, they aren't going to be really competitive because of the tiny size of their pick. Things could be better if we go the way Waterford, Dublin etc - i.e. joining schools together so our players are playing at the highest level.

Blackwater will be the strongest of the Waterford colleges this year. They have a serious panel and have been building this year's team solely with the Harty in mind.
